First of all, Berlin MD was such an adorable quaint town. My family and I took a day trip with friends and their families to Assateague, and before heading home we stopped to find dinner in Berlin. We decided on Pop’s Kitchen and it was perfect! The restaurant is cute and clean. The food was great (the Philly Cheesesteak Pizza was so good!) and the service was even better. Everyone was kind, smiling, personable, and pleasant. We ate outside by their parking lot and a very kind gentleman (was it Pop himself?) came out to interact with us, and served us with his kindness and informed us about other cool places in the town. He was ready with to-go boxes for our pizzas in case we needed it. I took one because my family ordered 2 pies and a salad, so we ended up with leftovers. We plan to come back to check out more of Berlin, and for sure we will be back to eat at Pop’s Kitchen. I was thoroughly impressed....
Read moreWanted to share my experience with a local business in Berlin where I live. I drove to Frederick Maryland to pick up my son and 7 hours later we just wanted to order a pizza. After looking online I called and ordered a large cheese from Pop's kitchen. Online the price stated $15 and something and then when I ordered it she told me it was $16 with tax but then I get there and I'm paying almost $18 because they have a 25% charge for using a credit card. I didn't get upset. But as a local or not the sign should have been more noticeable so that you could see what I was being charged, when I asked her about the extra charge she pointed to the sign which was not very visible at all. And if you ask me I've had better pizza from Domino's than I did from the local business that I want to support so not very happy with this local company which I would love to support. Will not...
Read moreIdk when this place opened up. But i was born and raised in this town and never been. Idk how. Everything is incredible. Prices are great. Cheesesteak was awesome. The ingredients didn’t taste like your normal Sysco delivery food. Wife got the broccoli quiche and tomato basil soup. That was fire. And then we got a small pizza expecting something tiny. Was a good size pizza, enough for two people. But was the closest I’ve tasted to New York pizza in a long time. Absolute PERFECTION on the crust. Perfect bubbles. And the ingredients tasted great as well. Worthy of a portnoy visit. Definitely making this a normal...
