In April 5th I got home depot installed special order 58oz carpeting. With carpet padding. My carpet is 35 years old didn't look like it but time for replacement. Thin at spot, seams coming up, and the padding definite shot. They came out to do precise measurements before they would install the carpet. $35 upfront to have the measurements done. That is then refunded when paying for the installation. That has to be done before they will even make install date. When measurements tech came out it only took 5 minutes to do it considering I have not much furniture in the down stairs that helps but not needed. Since he used a laser measurements device and he did a little bit of old school of measuring tape. Quite professional and knew what he was doing! Stairs easy to do only 13 steps to measure. With it ending up to the top landing. Steps never had carpeting on it only stair treads. Downstairs living room and dinning room about 300sq ft also install of same carpet and padding up the stairway. Actually measurements took only a day for them to come out to do measurements. Then ordering took about 2 weeks. That didn't matter since the next installation date open was 2 weeks later. That worked out perfectly! Install day I had to camp out in the kitchen. My kitchen is 9ft by 5ft. Quit cramped! I didn't mind had my internet on phone, laptop, and my fridge right there. 2 man crew tore up the down stairs remove carpet and Lol padding in 15minutes. Laid the new padding and carpet in blazing speed these guys didn't fool around. 30 minutes maybe. Then did the stairway just just as fast. 1 hour to 2 hours done. They did a fantastic job!!! Very professionally done!!! They even made sure that the dust wasn't bothering me!! The carpet is so much more of a carpet pile compared to the old one. Which of course saw better days after comparing it now to the new one. It is like walking on air now! I'm asthmatic. I had prepared. I had a dust mask already. As said they were efficient and cared about my comfort. The stairway is a major improvement as well. Going from stair treads and wood steps that seen better days which needed stripping if they were to be restored! covering it up to carpeting the steps are so much better and softer to walk on. Everyone with Home Depot that was involved with this were all friendly, helpful and patient! Especially there were a lot of different changes over the short course of...
Read moreMust read. Worst experience of my life. I will never buy another appliance from this Home Depot EVER. To sum everything up We ordered a new microwave and dishwasher Black Friday. It was supposed to be delivered Tuesday dec 12 between 11a-4p well by 5p there was a no call no show so my husband called to see where they were and got a response that the truck broke down and they would be at our house within and hour or so. Which was no big deal. However, no one came that night or called. Wednesday I called Home Depot and asked what was going on. They looked into it and said the delivery company told them they called us and I said my floor was uneven and they couldnât deliver it until the 21st. Which was a lie my floor is perfectly level where there were already appliances and they werenât even installing our appliances. Therefore, after arguing they moved our delivery to the 16th of Dec and I was told we would get $75 off our bill once everything was delivered. Keep in mind we spent around $1000 and I had to argue to get $75 off because I kept getting the excuse that it wasnât Home Depots fault that it was the delivery company. I had to explain that wasnât my problem Home Depot hires that company not me and I paid Home Depot. Saturday Dec 16th came and we got a call that our dishwasher was damaged and they couldnât deliver either item until the 26th of December. At this point I called Home Depot to cancel my order. They offered to get us the microwave separate so I asked if we would get the $75 off yet. And the woman Sonya Iâve been talking to each time I called Home Depot said âwho said that?â which I said she did and she proceeded to tell me I was lying so I told her then to return it all. Got off the phone with her and she called my husband and said she did say we would get $75 off our order and wanted to know if we would keep it at this point he said no and we were told that we would be reimbursed within 48-72 hrs. Come December 22nd we still were not reimbursed so I called again and they said they wouldnât reimburse us until the appliances were returned in which we never received. Finally on the 25th I got the money back I was owed. Again I will never do business with this Home Depot again. I went to sears got my appliances in less than a week and I will be going back for the range...
Read moreWent into the store to purchase items for a home remodeling project we started. Told the woman at the register that we needed assistance to load a large amount of drywall. She was super kind and was attempting to make calls to get us the assistance we needed. Her calls were ignored and you could tell that she was getting a bit flustered due to her long line and her attempts to get us help failing. She asked the person at the register next to us for help. Dom was his name. He fiddled around at his register a bit and clearly had no desire to help. Previously I heard him say loudly to a customers back that "next time you come into a store make sure you have money to pay" (but that's a whole other issue with this employee) My husband loaded all the drywall on a cart himself and was clearly struggling to get to the door with the massive amount of drywall. I went over to attempt to help him, leaving our cart of items paid for unattended because he needed help. A CUSTOMER in the store was kind enough to help us maneuver the way to the door and said that he would help us load up once he checked out. I'm not going to lie but after seeing the lack of customer assistance and employees just watching us struggle I definitely let a few f bombs fly (not at anyone in particular but at the situation in general). We finally got outside and my husband pulled the truck up to begin loading. Suddenly, by my side Dom shows up putting gloves on "looking" like he has the intention to help. Another man from the store coming outside and diligently starts loading. Dom gets a phone call and disappears. Between this employee, my husband, and myself we got all the drywall loaded. Just utterly ridiculous. I get it everyone is busy but jeez!!!! The capable young man who could have helped did everything in his power not to. He was rude, rolling his eyes, and making smart comments. He made sure to give a young guy a bottle of water though for free at the register. I guess I just expect more being that I work in customer service myself and have...
