A Night to Remember: The Temptations On January 17, 2023, The Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills came alive with the timeless sounds of The Temptations. Fans of all ages gathered to witness an unforgettable evening filled with nostalgia, energy, and classic Motown magic. The venue itself added to the magic of the night. The Saban Theatre, with its beautiful Art Deco design, plush seating, and exceptional acoustics, created an immersive experience that perfectly complemented the legendary music. The rich sound quality made it feel as if the music was surrounding and embracing the audience, drawing everyone into the heart of the performance. From the moment the first notes of "My Girl" filled the theater, the crowd was hooked. The performers delivered soulful, pitch-perfect harmonies, effortlessly channeling the legendary group’s spirit. As they moved through hits like "Papa Was a Rolling Stone", "Can’t Get Next to You" and "The Way You Do the Things You Do" the energy in the room only grew. It wasn't long before fans were dancing in the aisles, completely lost in the music. A key ingredient to the magic of the night was the lineup itself, which struck the perfect balance between heritage and fresh energy. Otis Williams, the last surviving original member at 81, and Ron Tyson, celebrating his 40th year with the group, provided the authenticity and wisdom that define The Temptations' legacy. Meanwhile, the presence of Detroit native Jawan M. Jackson and Tony Grant infused a vibrant youthful dynamic, ensuring that the group’s iconic sound remains as powerful as ever. The atmosphere was electric—both joyous and sentimental. Each song transported the audience back in time, rekindling fond memories of The Temptations’ golden era. The stage presence, smooth choreography, and deep emotional connection with the crowd made this performance one for the books. The night at The Saban Theatre was more than just a concert—it was a celebration of legendary music that continues to inspire generations. Those in attendance left with their hearts full and melodies still echoing in their minds. If you ever have the chance to experience The Temptations' music live, don’t hesitate. It’s a performance that stays with you long after the...
Read moreWent to the Saban Theatre and it was full to capacity. The night was going well and all were in their Valentine’s spirits! El Debarge was on stage performing his notable songs. I purchased seats in the front orchestra sections. The view was great for what I paid for. As El’s performance continued, an African American woman began to dance, dance, sing, shake her behind, video the entire performance curse, brought other people in front of all the other guests while standing and blocking the views of myself and others. Despite the pleas from other patrons, she ignored her Hispanic husband who asked her to sit down and started cursing at him. She brought her two preteen boys who were seated else where, also left their seats from another location within the theater and further blocked the view. No security could be seen except on stage. No one from the Saban theater did any type of crowd control. People were lined up in the aisle blocking the view. No one from the Saban intervened in any type of way! The majority of ushers who worked there were senior citizens and had limited mobility. I left before Stephanie Mills was to perform because I had it with the venue and this disgusting woman who after she was told to sit down stated, “El is my idol.” To the young lady, Saban and the other patrons please please remember that not only you came to the concert to enjoy a performance and without other paying patrons, this event would not occur. To be inconsiderate of this fact would place you as a selfish, immature and thoughtless person. I am disappointed with Saban and the woman who made Valentine’s Day 2023 unenjoyable experience. Prior to leaving and again, no security present, the elderly female usher said, “ You should have seen the LiL Wayne concert.” If my life depended on it, or they gave me a free ticket, I would never go to back to this theater or place myself in the company of type of people like this woman who attended. It was disappointing , because the majority of the people were dressed so beautifully in the sprit of Valentine’s. El sang so beautifully and his...
Read moreMy daughters were so excited when they purchased tickets to the Seo In Guk concert ealier this year. Then tragedy struck when they got the email that Seo couldn’t get his visa and the concert was postponed. I called the theater for a refund, but they encouraged me to wait for the new dates. They said we would be notified in plenty of time. Even though my daughter’s live out of state and were concerned about little to no notice. The theater assured us we’d be good and get notice hopefully soon. We were diligent to check in as each month past by and no announcement came. We called to check in today and found out that the concert happened the week prior. We searched our emails certain we must have missed the email they promised we’d get, to no avail. Then when we asked why we weren’t notified, the theater passed the blame to AXS who was “supposed to send the email.” I was disgusted that they were just passing us off even though they were the ones that encouraged us to keep the tickets and promised we’d get an email. AXS was even worse. We finally reach out to the theater again asking for help and they sent us to some insurance claim, which we are confident we won’t qualify for. We are just sick over the whole thing. If you have tickets to a show that get’s postponed, demand a refund. Don’t be persuaded otherwise. They’ll keep your money and blame it on...
