I have been to escape rooms in multiple states and I can say that this is easily my favorite for multiple reasons, though I have one minor grievance I'll get to later.
First, the room itself is fantastic! The atmosphere in the room matches what you would expect for the theme of the room. The puzzles range from easy to moderate and some more challenging ones sprinkled in.
This escape room is probably the first I've been to that seems to pride itself on the amount of groups that succeed rather than the amount it can stump and this is refreshing. I've been to escape rooms where we got stuck and when shown the solution it became obvious why we were stuck, the puzzle was broken. An example was a dial chart that didn't line up correctly and so there was no way to get the right answers answer from it.
But all the puzzles flowed well in this escape room and there were (thankfully) no broken puzzles.
I really liked that they wanted all participants to go to a specified spot and ask for hints. It helps make sure everyone is on board for a hint and also makes sure you actually get the hint.
For my one minor gripe. The puzzles appeared to be mostly linear, and while this didn't seem to affect our group of 4 too much, I have a hard time imagining it would be as fun and engaging in a group much larger than that. But other reviews seem to suggest bigger groups are not only possible but still fun, so I might just...
Read moreVery well done escape room. Challenging and fun with perfect amount to do. We had a group of 8 do the knights templar challenge. The room immersive and felt like you were in the scenario. I wondered how they would achieve the feel of an explorers adventure in an industrial warehouse and they did it perfectly. Staff was friendly and helpful. Facilities were clean and comfortable. I only wish they had more options. We are limited to their one non scary room with my young daughter and their thirdrd room is apparently still under construction with no set completion date per the staff member. I hope they get it done soon because it seems like...
Read moreI've enjoyed playing escape rooms for a while at various cities and have played about 4 times at the Grand Escape Room here in Billings. This was my first time trying this location and the Billings Escape Room was a lot of fun. Our group did Nuclear Launch and it was more high tech than I've experienced at the other location. We had videos during the game and before we played the room. The setup was really great and it was challenging. I was happy our group got out since the escape rate was only 40% for that room. Definitely worth trying out. Billings has got two great places to do...
