Last night we found ourselves at Phattys Steak & Seafood here in beautiful Billings Montana. Upon walking in the front door my nose was greeted with the most divine smells of butter, cheese and garlic setting the mood right for a wonderful dinner to come. After review of their diverse menu, we decided to start with some char-broiled oysters. Let me tell you, they have those figured out. A dash of hot sauce and a quick down the hatch, my taste buds exploded with sensations I have a hard time coming up with words for. I decided to stray from my normal meat and potatoes style dinner for my main course with a pasta dish. The Blackend Chicken and Andouille pasta caught my eye, and it did not disappoint. Exploding with classic Cajun flavors, it was everything it needed to be. My date decided to go with a classic Connecticut style Lobster Roll. The taste of warm lobster and butter with a perfectly grilled roll was sensational. It's not very often we get talked into a desert, but tonight seemed like a break from the ordinary. They had a Pineapple Creme Brulee and omg. The top was crispy, the custard was creamy and on the bottom boasted a surprise of a pineapple filling that totally set this creme brulee apart from all the others I have ever tried. Our service was top notch, the ambiance was classic steak house mixed with a modern upscale vibe. One thing I could not understand is why this place is not packed on a Saturday night!!! Don't be sleeping on this place friends!!! I 100% recommend this fine establishment and look forward to visiting it again!!!

We had a great lunch today! We were seated immediately after arriving at 1:30. Our server, Meadow, stopped by right away and told us about some beers. She even offered some tastes to help us decide. They have a wide variety but not an exhaustive list. After receiving our drinks, we ordered from a menu that had a wide variety but was just one page long. This is a good balance so that the kitchen can focus on their best dishes and keep fresh ingredients in stock. My wife's shrimp tacos were excellent! The shrimp were crisp on the outside and juicy inside. She got 2 generous tacos. She particularly liked the sauce which featured dill and had just the right level of spice for her (rather mild to my taste.) The fried potatoes that came as a side were about halfway between fries and wedges and hit the spot. Also came with a side of remoulade for the tacos and the potatoes. My shrimp and grits was delicious, too. The creamy grits provided good balance to the spicy sauce that flavored the shrimp and boudin. The side salad was good with the flavored croutons as the standout. Meadoe did a fine job attending to our needs without hovering. Live music was entertaining but a little too loud even though we sat as far away as possible. However, credit to Phatty's for daring to be different (just dial it back a little, please.) Altogether a great experience and we will be back soon.

"Phatty’s Seafood & Steakhouse is a culinary gem! The service here is exceptional, making you feel welcomed and well-cared for. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance of elegance and comfort, setting the stage for a memorable dining experience. The journey begins with their cocktail selection, which is both innovative and refreshing. Moving on to the appetizer, the BBQ shrimp is a revelation - perfectly cooked with flavors that dance on your palate. But the star of the show is undoubtedly the blackened shrimp and andouille sausage. This dish is a symphony of flavors, masterfully blending spice, smokiness, and the natural sweetness of the seafood. The sides, particularly the butter and bread, complement the meal beautifully, offering a comforting touch to the spicy and robust flavors of the main course. Every bite is a testament to the chef's skill in bringing together the best of seafood and steakhouse traditions. In all honesty, the food was so incredibly delicious that it took considerable restraint not to lick the plate clean – a sentiment I'm sure many in the restaurant shared. If you're looking for something new, flavorful, and with just the right amount of kick, Phatty’s is your go-to spot. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates great food, excellent service, and a warm ambiance."

Wish I was here to give more positive feedback tonight. I wanna start by saying I do have respect for the woman that owns Cajun Phattys because I know she has a good heart, she is all about community and our Veterans. I honestly wanted to support her business because of that and also she is a local establishment but unfortunately I feel I may never eat in this place again, unless they make some major changes. The Staff seemed to lack the friendliness of a fancy restaurant. Sad to see alot of her good stuff from Cajun Phattys was gone, alot of the menu prices were SUPER high, honestly kind of limited choices, no Burger choices at all for a steakhouse which I was kind of wanting. Salads, yikes one was 18$, what the hell? I tried a cup of gumbo which she is known for and it was just awful, no flavor and way, way to much spice and the chicken in it was dry. We also had Roll service and waitress brought out rolls that were like hockey pucks, although the butter was good. On to the steaks, no way I was going to pay 30 plus dollars for a 8 oz Sirilon when next door at Town and country they just had a sale for 2 of them for under 10.00, which were very delicious. I ordered the chicken and my sister ordered the shrimp off the appetizer menu, those were both very good and somewhat reasonably priced for the amount. We had a new waitress and she was nice but having a hard time navigating. Hope she makes positive changes, tweaks the menu and definitely work on some of your prices and staff friendliness. Not leaving this review to say dont eat there, I am leaving to say do better so...

Renovated restaurant with intriguing looks and very different from past location. Very kind and helpful servers and hosts. It was a very confusing first time visiting the new place as it did not keep the same theme of southern soul food appearance wise but to now very formal location was a bit of a shock. You get nice views of Billings traffic if you sit on the outside of the restaurant when it’s warm with comfortable sitting. Food was relatively fast for a Friday night. There was live music the day we went, it was a bit too noisy for us so we decided to be outside the restaurant has an open floor design so it was the only way we could get some quiet in our day but the traffic noise equaled the environment inside.

As for the food I got the spicy chicken sandwich for 18$. At that price it doesn’t come with a drink so i expect a good portion and it did not disappoint. Taste was also there they have great fries and the chicken sandwich itself was tasty and spicy as advertised. My partner got a pasta and it was 25$ no drink. Portion size was small for that price but they did not skimp on the shrimp and sausage. Taste was very good not as strong as I would’ve liked but very calming. Food was on point specially for a busy day as well as service.

Overall it was a good experience I would come here again they did good on keeping the food same as it was with the...
