Wish I was here to give more positive feedback tonight. I wanna start by saying I do have respect for the woman that owns Cajun Phattys because I know she has a good heart, she is all about community and our Veterans. I honestly wanted to support her business because of that and also she is a local establishment but unfortunately I feel I may never eat in this place again, unless they make some major changes. The Staff seemed to lack the friendliness of a fancy restaurant. Sad to see alot of her good stuff from Cajun Phattys was gone, alot of the menu prices were SUPER high, honestly kind of limited choices, no Burger choices at all for a steakhouse which I was kind of wanting. Salads, yikes one was 18$, what the hell? I tried a cup of gumbo which she is known for and it was just awful, no flavor and way, way to much spice and the chicken in it was dry. We also had Roll service and waitress brought out rolls that were like hockey pucks, although the butter was good. On to the steaks, no way I was going to pay 30 plus dollars for a 8 oz Sirilon when next door at Town and country they just had a sale for 2 of them for under 10.00, which were very delicious. I ordered the chicken and my sister ordered the shrimp off the appetizer menu, those were both very good and somewhat reasonably priced for the amount. We had a new waitress and she was nice but having a hard time navigating. Hope she makes positive changes, tweaks the menu and definitely work on some of your prices and staff friendliness. Not leaving this review to say dont eat there, I am leaving to say do better so...
Read moreLast night we found ourselves at Phattys Steak & Seafood here in beautiful Billings Montana. Upon walking in the front door my nose was greeted with the most divine smells of butter, cheese and garlic setting the mood right for a wonderful dinner to come. After review of their diverse menu, we decided to start with some char-broiled oysters. Let me tell you, they have those figured out. A dash of hot sauce and a quick down the hatch, my taste buds exploded with sensations I have a hard time coming up with words for. I decided to stray from my normal meat and potatoes style dinner for my main course with a pasta dish. The Blackend Chicken and Andouille pasta caught my eye, and it did not disappoint. Exploding with classic Cajun flavors, it was everything it needed to be. My date decided to go with a classic Connecticut style Lobster Roll. The taste of warm lobster and butter with a perfectly grilled roll was sensational. It's not very often we get talked into a desert, but tonight seemed like a break from the ordinary. They had a Pineapple Creme Brulee and omg. The top was crispy, the custard was creamy and on the bottom boasted a surprise of a pineapple filling that totally set this creme brulee apart from all the others I have ever tried. Our service was top notch, the ambiance was classic steak house mixed with a modern upscale vibe. One thing I could not understand is why this place is not packed on a Saturday night!!! Don't be sleeping on this place friends!!! I 100% recommend this fine establishment and look forward to...
Read moreRenovated restaurant with intriguing looks and very different from past location. Very kind and helpful servers and hosts. It was a very confusing first time visiting the new place as it did not keep the same theme of southern soul food appearance wise but to now very formal location was a bit of a shock. You get nice views of Billings traffic if you sit on the outside of the restaurant when it’s warm with comfortable sitting. Food was relatively fast for a Friday night. There was live music the day we went, it was a bit too noisy for us so we decided to be outside the restaurant has an open floor design so it was the only way we could get some quiet in our day but the traffic noise equaled the environment inside.
As for the food I got the spicy chicken sandwich for 18$. At that price it doesn’t come with a drink so i expect a good portion and it did not disappoint. Taste was also there they have great fries and the chicken sandwich itself was tasty and spicy as advertised. My partner got a pasta and it was 25$ no drink. Portion size was small for that price but they did not skimp on the shrimp and sausage. Taste was very good not as strong as I would’ve liked but very calming. Food was on point specially for a busy day as well as service.
Overall it was a good experience I would come here again they did good on keeping the food same as it was with the...
