I don't usually write bad reviews but after the way I was treated by Planet Fitness on the Westend, I can't keep this one to myself. I was ready to get myself a gym membership and walked in on February 10th on my own and was barely greeted by one of the 3 men standing behind the counter on their phones. I know they don't have a lot to do, so I get wanting to pass the time but a greeting would have been nice, especially since it was the first time I had been there. When I asked to sign up, the guy hands me a tablet and says to fill it out. There were a few questions I didn't know the answer to (the name of the guy "helping" me, and also if I wanted them to give me a tour) so I asked for help. He begrudgingly put his phone down and said "Oh you're supposed to put my name" which he had never told me. Then said with an annoyed tone "Did you want a tour?" To which I replied, "Um, I guess not?" Which I later found out they are supposed to give everyone that signs up a tour of the facility. So even if I do come back at this point, I don't even know how I'm supposed to sign in. I had to ask how to do that myself. At this point, it has become pretty obvious that this guy is annoyed by me trying to sign up. In hindsight, I should have just walked out right then, but I thought things might get better. I'm not sure if I was interrupting important text messages, if it's because I wasn't wearing makeup or maybe because I was bundled up against the cold when I walked in so he though I looked poor or homeless. I can't explain but definitely don't feel I deserved to be treated like a burden. Further into signing up, I found out I have to download an app, had trouble getting my account to connect, so he has to help me again, once again acting annoyed by my presence. After I left, I sat in my car and cried. I regretted everything. I don't know why I didn't just walk out before giving over my financial information. Now, after calling and talking to management several times, with NOT ONE APOLOGY, they have canceled my membership but will not refund me the $30 sign up fee. So I'm out money, I feel like an ugly piece of trash and nobody gives a shit. As I said to the manager when I went there in person today to cancel: Thanks...
Read moreVery unhappy with the treatment I received from planet fitness in Billings, MT !! I went in to freeze my membership shortly after the coronavirus began. I froze my account for three months and was told if I needed to freeze it again to just call and they would be happy to do so. With COVID-19 still going strong I did call and ask to have my membership froze once again, they were more than willing to do so and told me they could freeze it for how ever long I wanted. I thanked them and was very appreciative of how kind they were and how well they were working with their customers during this unprecedented time. Now March 1st 2021 I find my account has been charged for January and February club dues. I was told when I called that an audit was done first of the year and they found accounts were being frozen past their policy of 3 months so they just started taking out dues. I said that not only was I told that my account could be frozen however long I wanted but that I wasn’t informed in any way that they were going to start charging my account in January. I was not offered a refund but simply told I could come in and cancel my membership and they’d waive the cancellation fee. I once thought of this company as being very easy to work with, thoughtful of their customers, realizing how hard this time has been on everyone NOW I SEE THEM AS UNPROFESSIONAL,...
Read moreI like going here to workout but the VIP tanning and hydromassage is an issue. Your constantly being forgotten, theres about 5 workers standing in the front desk, some on their phones and they do not check their lists or customers for the tanning and hydromassage, even when you remind them they forget. It's been about 5 times this has happened in the last 2 months. The tanning rooms are empty and It gets frustrating to remind them to do their jobs. They constantly send you to the couch to wait and just forget to check on you. (It feels like a way to get rid of you) They need a better system. I suggest having 1 worker in the vip area making sure customers needs are being met, it will also speed up the process and not have such a long waitlist all the time and maybe better control of that area specially for those who pay more for that extra service. Considering cancelling the VIP if it continues.
I have also been forgotten in the tanning room undressed they did not put the time on the bed and i had to dress myself to go remind them at the front desk. Suggestion maybe a way to call the front desk when people are in the room undressed?
Otherwise the equipment is great just a huge downside to the...
