So this review is EXCLUSIVELY for Ghosts on the Balcony (there are no ghosts so no idea why they called it that). First off, there's zero signage as to where you should park and how to get in. We walked all the way around the building, only to find that the front entrance was closed with absolutely no direction of where the actual entrance was so we just had to wander around to even find the right place. Second, I should've seen the lack of any details online as a red flag, at first I thought they would go into the "haunted history" teased in a video I found. None of that, it was just a run of the mill haunted house attraction. Which I would have been fine with had it actually been scary. There was a total of maybe 4 to 5 "scare actors" who corral guests into about 4 rooms total where the actors try their best to scare you. They kept building up to "the doctor" but then he just sends you out the exit with zero scares. There were young kids in our group and they honestly looked bored. No one even jumps out at you. There were so many spots where I though "ok here's where someone is gonna pop out" nope, nothing. I was also told there would be food available, which I didn't see anything aside from cider and popcorn. You would think for $30 a ticket they could give you some free popcorn or something but no. I honestly felt horrible that I suggested my friends come with me. They hated it too. Emagine should just...
Read moreDo not waste your time and money at "Ghosts On The Balcony." Went here with my brother and some friends for my brothers birthday and was disappointed. The whole thing was over within 20 minutes. It was advertised as an hour long haunt. We waited for like 2 hours to get in and then the whole thing was over in 20 minutes. Waste of $30. Its advertised as a haunted old theater and its made to sound better than it was. It doesnt even play off of how this is an old haunted theater or have any story line or anything. There was like 5 total actors for the whole thing. Looks like it was set up by elementary school kids. On top of that my brother tripped over one of the set pieces and they kicked him out? So you kick someone out and not refund them for tripping over a set piece. WOW ITS DARK AND THERE'S SMOKE MACHINES AND STROBE LIGHTS AND YOU TRIPPED??? KICKED OUT!! It was his birthday too. Absolutely ridiculous. Do not waste your time and money here. Not worth it at all. Go to Erebus or another haunted house. Had 9 in our group so we...
Read moreI honestly do not know where to begin. My friends and I were looking for something fun to do and had seen the ghosts on the balcony advertised, so we thought we would give it a shot. Tried to call the location several times and no one answered, so we just showed up. Online there is no instruction as to where the entrance is or how to get there. On the door it says to use the entrance on Peabody street but when we went there, we couldn’t find the entrance. We knocked on the door where it said ‘exit only’ and someone let us in. It was very expensive for the price that we paid. It was probably the worst ‘activity’ we have ever done and honestly I don’t know how someone can approve that to open, let alone charge $30 for it. No one really gave instruction on where to go or what to do. Everyone just kind of stood there. I really just wanted a refund after that horrible and extremely waste of my time but no one talked to us on the way out. Basically don’t waste your time...
