I recently hosted an event here on 8/31, and I honestly can’t say enough amazing things about this restaurant! From the beautiful venue to every single member of the staff, everything was absolutely perfect.

Working with Lenore and Melani was an absolute dream. They made the entire planning process effortless, always checking in, reassuring me, and ensuring every single detail—no matter how small—was flawless. They made sure all food was properly labeled for guests with dietary restrictions, and every request we had was handled immediately and with a smile. It was clear they genuinely cared about making our event special.

Even when our DJ couldn’t make it due to unforeseen circumstances, the team immediately stepped in to help with music, microphones, and keeping the energy alive. The food was incredible—every single guest was blown away, and they couldn’t stop talking about it. The staff even brought food directly to our table so we could enjoy it without worrying about missing a moment.

There were so many thoughtful little gestures that made the day unforgettable. For example, just as my husband was about to make a speech, one of the on-site managers noticed and brought him water to clear his throat—such a small but meaningful touch that made us feel completely cared for. Another moment that touched my heart was the special food Johnny prepared for my husband and me. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to meet him in person, but that thoughtful gesture meant so much and made us feel so special.

The on-site managers, wait staff, and everyone involved went above and beyond throughout the day. They anticipated our needs, checked in to make sure everything was running smoothly, and treated every guest with warmth and attentiveness. Every detail, from decor placement to the timing of service, was handled perfectly. It truly felt like they were celebrating with us, not just working the event.

If you’re planning a baby shower, wedding, or any celebration, stop looking and just book here. The experience, attention to detail, and value far exceed the price. I will absolutely only book this place again for any future events.

A huge thank you to Lenore, Melani, Johnny, the on-site managers (your faces are unforgettable even if I don’t remember all your names!), and the incredible wait staff. You all made our event not just perfect, but genuinely unforgettable. This restaurant truly deserves way more...

I cannot understand how this establishment has a 4.1 score on Google because my experience on 1/21/24 was absolutely fantastic! I attended a private birthday dinner and our waitress was Shawn. Shawn was so wonderful to our group of 14! She was attentive, funny, informed, and super helpful. Our food.....5 stars! For appetizers we had the octopus salata, grilled harissa shrimp, whipped ricotta with foccacia and the corn fritters. Everyone in our group absolutely smashed the appetizers and had nothing but great comments. We also had the wedge salad (the lardon bacon on the salad was the true star) that was so huge it was almost a meal by itself, as well as the village salad, which again, impressed everyone. Before entrees were brought out we were given orders of French fries to snack on. Let me tell you, those French fries with the roasted garlic aioli....delish! For entrees we had a choice of the Filet Mignon, Grilled Branzino, and the Otto's Farm Half Chicken. I ordered the Filet and it was cooked perfectly to medium rare; the steak was tender and had proper seasoning; the Black Garlic Au Poivre sauce that comes with the Filet really took the flavor profile over the top! I also enjoyed the Potato Lyonnaise that accompanied the meal. My husband ordered the Otto's Farm Half Chicken, and he devoured it! Now typically my husband hates chicken breast meat, but he was converted (just slightly) to a chicken breast lover because the herbs and spices rubbed onto the chicken absolutely penetrated through the chicken breast making it not only juicy, but also richly flavored. I cannot wait to return to Zana again to try some of the many other food options available.

Kudos Zana! And an extra thank you to our waitress Shawn for being...

My 7 sisters and I were planning an outing for my birthday. I came across Zana "After Dark" on social media, read reviews , looked at videos, and decided Zana would be where I would celebrate my birthday. I called Zana two days before to ask if you had to make reservations or if there was a cover charge, I was told, "NO." On Saturday, October 5, 2024, we arrived at Zana After Dark, where there was a line, two of my sisters got in line, waiting for the remaining to approach. As we entered the line, we were stopped by a man who I assumed to be security, he yelled, "Reservations! Reservations! You have to have reservations to enter!" Please be mindful that the non African American people before us and after us were not required to have reservations . Security only ask them for identification and let them into Zana, asking us to leave the line. We were very embarrassed, hurt, and disappointed walking out of the line. I called into Zana and spoke with the host and asked if reservations were required. She stated "NO". I also spoke with the manager and asked her if reservations were required. She said "NO", I began telling her what happened, and she stated, "i hired him, he's my security, and I know he did not tell you that." I became very emotional at this point, felt very humiliated. The manager did ask us to come back, but at this point, my birthday...

The menu is difficult to understand for those who are not chefs. The waitstaff was friendly and the manager was accommodating. For appetizers we ordered the wagyu meatballs with a nice sesame Texas toast bread. Although I would have preferred the sauce without the addition of raisins. For dinner we ordered the Amish chicken and bone in short rib. The chicken was moist but required more crisp. I would recommend substituting the polenta with mashed potatoes. The short rib was very tender and shredded apart nicely with very little amounts of gristle. It was an interesting flavor combination of the maple sweet potatoes and sage spaetzle. We also had a side order of Brussels sprouts with had a nice crunch and balsamic glaze, would highly recommend this side option. For dessert we ordered the Apple galette which was cold and would have been better warm but the manager was nice enough to come over and ask how it was. When we mentioned our critique he offered us a complimentary special dessert for the night, which tasted way better. Overall it was on the higher end of dining with a very loud scene but worth a try.
