Chimney Rock Village Riverwalk — Attraction in Black Mountain

The Rocky Broad Riverwalk runs parallel to Main Street in Chimney Rock Village, providing easy access to restaurants, and other attractions.

It offers a peaceful walking trail with plenty of boulders and rock outcroppings. Generally, it is not a high traffic area. Entrances are between buildings and could go unnoticed unless your are looking for access to the river.

Walk among the rocks (carefully) and see spectacular views of the French Broad River. Just a few steps from Main Street and a really cool little spot to sit a while and take life in while the water streams past you. There are dry spots, you will not get wet unless you do something stupid. We spent 30-45 minutes here taking photos. Best part? It’s freeeeee....

A really fun place to walk around with the whole family. I have been coming here ever since I was around four years old and have made some wonderful memories here. It is always a delightful experience as you can do a several number of things including shopping, playing in the creek and/or beach, and you can even go zip lining....
