Wow! What a gem hiding in plain sight in downtown Chimney Rock. We kind of landed at this restaurant after being drawn to the spot to play mini golf amidst their scenic backdrop of the state park and river. After a fun round, we decided to grab dinner at the restaurant. It was fantastic. The pizzas were tasty and reasonably priced. Service was friendly and prompt. My husband had the meatball sandwich and was blown away by how good it was - particularly the bread. We left full and content for a reasonable price. The next day of our stay was far busier and all of the town restaurants were slammed. Despite feeling like we should try something different, we each secretly wanted to have Stagecoach again, so we went back. This time the restaurant was very busy and the kitchen maxed out such that they actually stopped taking walk-ins about an hour before closing, which I appreciate as they didn’t want to keep people waiting. We were lucky enough to get their last table and had a second fantastic meal, this time trying the prosciutto sandwich and the chicken pesto sandwich as well as another round of pizza. The sandwiches were out of this world. They use fresh, high-quality ingredients, and again the bread was fantastic. We don’t know when we’ll be back, but when we are, we know where we’re going.
