Chimney Rock State Park — Attraction in Columbus

Too expensive for what we know, we must pay for services that I refuse to use, which are not compatible with my policy. Frankly pay to take a bus that pollutes in a natural site for a few km, pay for an elevator that consumes a lot of fossil energy, is this very reasonable in the middle of nature? I understand better why man becomes more and more obese if we chew on his work. I suggest you watch the Wall-E cartoon again, which sums up the situation very well. A hike has to be earned, a belvedere has to be earned, you have to sweat to be proud of it at the end. I find this discriminatory, does it mean that the little people who don't have a lot of money can't go hiking in the middle of nature?! If I had known, I would have boycotted the site, the bill for a family with 3 children ruined my outing ($50). And the icing on the cake, it closes at 6 p.m. even in summer, we are timed to have fun. This is a beautiful State Park! It's worth every penny you have to pay for the entrance fee. There are trails for beginners all the way up to more advanced hikers. It was an easy walk to the top of Chimney Rock, where the flag was posted. You just walk down a tunnel to take the elevator and whoosh! you're at the top where you can shop at the gift store. It's a short walk and up a sturdy set of stairs to the flagpole. The view up there is fantastic! Of course, there are higher points to hike up to, but I'm a beginner. I was with my grandkids, so I highly recommend the Great Woodland Adventure Trail. So cute! Great photo opportunities with statues of Woodland animals. The view is breathtaking! I decided to go to Chimney Rock Park during summer . I had the best experience. The park was in a good condition itself , clean, great staff. Weather was a bit hot though and sunny . Also, there were a lot of people. Summer usually is a busy season. However, I managed to climb up , there’s an elevator if you don’t wish to climb the stairs. Worth mentioning, the stairs are pretty decent. So it took quite a while to get up to the rock. Going down was way more easier.
