Great chips and salsa. Very convenient location to the front entrance of Chimney Rock. Plenty of seating. River view patio seating.
I got the beef nachos Supreme. It was mostly oil and grease from the beef. Everything got soggy and I couldn’t pick up any chips. I ate it for a bit with a fork, then I gave up. Next time, try draining the grease from the hamburger before putting it on the plate. Like everyone else has done since the beginning of beef nacho supremes. It was inedible.
My wife got the chicken fajitas. The chicken came out sizzling. It smelled and tasted really good. I wish I had gotten that. But, also, it was weird. The rice for the fajitas was great. The refried beans were good also. But they never brought any pico, or lettuce, or sour cream, or guac, or anything like that to go with it. I’m not saying they have to, I’m saying, between the two of us over the 28 years we’ve been together, one or both of us have ordered fajitas at least, I don’t know, 700 times? This was the first time without any of the accompanying items coming with the meal.
So again, it was weird.
Certainly not my favorite. I doubt...
Read moreIf you want to get ripped off, this is the place to go! food was fair, waitresses were attentive. However, when I asked if they could please exchange my soda because it tasted more like CO2, she asked if I had already taken a sip out of cup, because if that was the case she would have to ask manager if I could exchange beverage? At the time when we were to pay, what should have been a bill of $116. accordingly to the prices on menu ended up as a charge of $144. I asked the tall cashier to please give me an itemized receipt before paying them and she printed off just prices from their out dated cash register. There it had an extra 8% and then a 15% fee added to our bill. When asking her what those additional charges were the woman stated "county charges additional tax fees " and some other ridiculous tax story . Okay , because I have lived in America all of my life and in N.C for the past 38 years and I have never been to any other restaurant in Rutherford County , N.C. Big mistake! Better Business Bureau & NCDOR will be hearing about...
Read moreWent to eat there after our trip to chimney rock. Most of the employees weren’t wearing a face mask. They took a while to take our order. They took the order of a couple that came in later than us. We all ordered different foods. My kids and sister in law order the tacos of carne asada and the meat tasted disgusting. It tasted like old meat that has been there for a while My husband ordered a torta of steak meat and they only put the meat and lettuce, but no beans and a torta usually has beans. We order the agua frescas and they weren’t good. The other food was ok. When the time to pay came we didn’t get a check with the total amount and the prices of everything. The waiter added everything and told us the total. In my opinion the price for everything was too expensive and the food was ok. If I could give them a...
