This place is awesome!! I was at chimney Rock for vacation with the family and we got out late from a long hike and a lot of restaurants were closing at 5 p.m. La Montana was open so we decided to go here. The waitress was the best. She gave my husband 4 refills on his water because he drinks a lot of water. The food was cooked fast and the quality was excellent. I appreciated the fact that they were one of the few restaurants that were open when we got done with our long hike. Thanks for your hospitality!

Great chips and salsa. Very convenient location to the front entrance of Chimney Rock. Plenty of seating. River view patio seating. I got the beef nachos Supreme. It was mostly oil and grease from the beef. Everything got soggy and I couldn’t pick up any chips. I ate it for a bit with a fork, then I gave up. Next time, try draining the grease from the hamburger before putting it on the plate. Like everyone else has done since the beginning of beef nacho supremes. It was inedible. My wife got the chicken fajitas. The chicken came out sizzling. It smelled and tasted really good. I wish I had gotten that. But, also, it was weird. The rice for the fajitas was great. The refried beans were good also. But they never brought any pico, or lettuce, or sour cream, or guac, or anything like that to go with it. I’m not saying they have to, I’m saying, between the two of us over the 28 years we’ve been together, one or both of us have ordered fajitas at least, I don’t know, 700 times? This was the first time without any of the accompanying items coming with the meal. So again, it was weird. Certainly not my favorite. I doubt I’d go back.

Food was quite good. The overall feel off the restaurant leaves more to be desired. The waitress was not really very good. Seemed like she would have rather been some were else. The tall waiter was her saving grace and she probably didn't even notice. He was very friendly and smiling. Now the food was really good. I got enchiladas and I have no complaints. Everyone else in my party enjoyed their food as well. Maybe a little paint and an enthusiastic staff and 5 stars will come in.
