This park is nice and big, and although the main attraction is the reservoir, for playing during non swimming months I actually like the other half of the park better. There are two swinging areas, both with swings for older and younger kids, and a super cool playground that has a second story with a fun slide, and lots of fun ways to climb. There is also an abundance of grass to run around on, and it’s not super close to the parking lot so you don’t have to worry as much about kids going into unsafe areas. I do wish a few areas were a little better taken care of, but it’s a fun place none the less.

One of the communities staple locations for family fun, events, and community entertainment. There is something for everyone here. With miles of paved running and biking trails, beautiful lake for water sports, a skate park, basketball courts, playgrounds, and pavilions for any event. Every year there are events like 4th of July fireworks or Blackfoot pride days. There is even regular treats during the summer such as Wake-Up Call's snow cone shack. If you are passing through or a Blackfoot area resident I can't think of a better place to stop in the city for free activities.

This place is fun and relaxing. There were not too many people around on a Friday afternoon in July. The grass is green and well kept. They have life jackets you can use for free. Bring a lunch. There are plenty of tables for a picnic. There is no overnight parking, but there is plenty of parking for RVs and trailers.

Our destination was not Jenson Grove. We simply happened upon it when we went to meet some people in Blackfoot, Idaho. My first impression when I looked around was how pretty it looked. And the shade. I know shade sounds very simplistic and not exactly an attraction that would make someone visit a place. However after driving hundreds of miles in the heat and passing out once, just to pick up some new puppies, made the shade very welcome. The puppies enjoyed it for the brief amount of time we were there. We also found a place that appears to be a nice place to visit for a more extensive amount of time. I realize pretty and shade does not make for a perfect review. The idea of there being so many different, nice places for one to visit was sort of a wake up call. Simply this. Stop rushing through life and look around. Go exploring. There is much more to life than the hectic city and all the day to day craziness. When you do, you realize the world is made up of so many beautiful places and people. You just have to stop long enough to really notice. I hope my quirky little review will do to someone else what this little experience did for me. Don't miss something great because you're too busy...

I met my family there at Christmas and we went to the drive-by Nativity where horse-drawn carriages carried happy people around to the different scenes. It was a lovely, well run event. Many people were in attendance. It was well-organized so the long lines moved steadily along. There were barrels with fire to keep the crowds warm and hot cocoa and cookies afterwards. In the other seasons, there is a playground, picnic area, swimming area and also a frisbee golf course. There is a beautiful running/walking trail that goes around the perimeter of the park. There are plenty of parking spaces and it is close to fast food...

We quite enjoy Jensen Grove. The long, paved walking trail goes around the lake and extends north for miles. Being paved, it's a great option for pushing strollers, or for kids on bikes (just watch them by the water).

There's also a decent little playground area, and a skate park (that we haven't used, but always seems quite popular).

We also frequently play the 9-hole disc golf course here. It's not a particularly challenging course, but it's fun and we always have a good time. It's set up in roughly a loop, so you finish where you started, which makes it easy to play several rounds in a row without a lot of...
