Buchanans Coffee House — Restaurant in Blanco

Me and my two daughters frequent this coffee shop regularly. I love that they play worship music, their baked goods are phenomenal (hands down best in the area), and the owner is very sweet and generous. I've brought in all my friends and made them many new customers. The customer service is usually sweet but today (4/11/24) I sent my daughter (9 years old) in to get herself a cup of water and when she came out she said the woman inside had been mean - obviously I asked for clarity. The woman had asked her a question and when my daughter answered "sure,yes please!" The woman replied back " 'yes, please' is the correct answer." in a corrective tone. The woman never says anything ugly or corrective to my daughter when I'm around (bc she doesn't need it) so now I feel apprehensive about the cashier making unnecessary snippy comments to my daughter without me present. 🤷‍♀️ I did not clarify this issue with the cashier yet bc my daughter asked me not to right then. I'll update this as soon as I clear it up with the woman. She's usually friendly but I hope I can trust that she's like that when I'm not around too. maybe she's just having an off day but if you don't like my babies manners, then let me know. This is my favorite spot to enjoy a delicious iced latte and a turkey avocado croissant sandwich. the cafe has a wonderfully relaxing country chic vibe where you can hang out in their comfy chairs by the fireplace in the winter or out on the shady patio in the summer - I love to come here to work for a few hours in a cozy corner.

The staff are all so friendly and welcoming - immediately when you walk through the door you feel transported into a familiar coffee house that has been lost to the chain coffee shops. The quality of their products and the style of the place is on point. Fresh croissants, gluten-free and vegetarian options, great glassware and clutlery - even the bathroom is beautiful.
