Dirty Laundry Express - Bloomfield — Attraction in Bloomfield

This is or was my favorite laundromat. I don’t know what happened today or why it happened but I am highly dissatisfied disappointed and disgusted. today I got off of work and proceeded to go to my fave laundromat to wash my clothes after a very long day. I am a single mother of three children. I have no time to wash my clothes barely so I went today being that I got off of work early. I get there, I go to purchase a new laundry care, I put the money into the card slot to retrieve my new card because I lost my previous card. No card came out I rang the bell and waited for the employees to come. They came. I told the lady my car didn’t come out and she went into the machine and she checked to see how much money I put in. She proceeded to go behind the counter had over had to be about 60 different cards and proceeded to check each card to see if (I’m guessing) it had any money on it. Every card said zero by now it is 3:30 I explained to her again I had to go get my children by 4. She kept telling me to wait wait wait her other employee came, She came they spoke in Spanish and the other employees just waved me off like “oh well you just have to wait”, not able to wait any longer .so I proceeded to call the police, they told the police they cannot give me a refund because they have no cash behind the counter which is a lie. I come this laundromat , no others !!So when I do come and I need to break a bill they have to go behind the counter and give me cash because I need change so that was a lie. she wasted all of my time. I felt like they didn’t like me because I’m black or l. They were giving me very nasty attitude, but they were very very kind to the Hispanic people that were next to me. They proceeded to waste my time, and I almost filed the police report until she saw how serious it was and if there was an investigation in a they ran the cameras back, they would have saw that no card came out of that machine. I’m highly disappointed. I’m very disappointed and disgusted. That’s not how you treat people, I ended up getting my money back after the officer told her we will be filing a report!! I feel very embarrassed and humiliated. They showed no type of compassion. That was my last $10 bucks and they tried to take it from me. Is this the type of people you have running your establishment? All I wanted was my card, since I ran out of time, I was going closer to my kids school to do laundry and needed my money back. Besides the time the lady took my clothes out of the dryer and almost gave them away , this incident here was the icing on the cake. They need an entire new staff! I’ll never come back here again! I have been trying to talk to the manager/owner for over a week but the staff will not inform him of the issue. I have my families clothing washed and folded once a week in Bloomfield. Last week, when I got my clothes home I notice I had No whites, towels and my wife’s north face fleeces (2) were not in out bag. So I returned to the facility and was called a liar for 2 hours straight! After being embarrassed and insulted for 2 hours the mother/daughter team decided to look in other bags and to no surprise, my whites were in another customers clothing bag. After being unpacking the white clothes we notice that we had clothing in the bag that was not ours, it has been returned to the Bloomfield location. I returned today and few days later to see if anyone has returned my towels and if the staff has seen the fleece jacket and vest. But they didn’t seem to want to be bothered. Asked again for the manager and was told “he doesn’t come around much”. I was told his name is Kevin and I would like for him to call me. I have been using this service for over 4 years and would like for him to know about the customer service I received. It’s now going on almost 2 weeks, still haven’t heard from anyone. The place is clean but, The owners should really consider getting new management. There’s a lot of people walking inside who have no business doing laundry, I notice a guy walking around checking up on people not the machines and then just sitting on the benches waiting for something and then just left, or just people in general sitting inside not doing laundry. The bathrooms are open to anyone that walks in. I bumped into a guy who was rushing out of the bathroom and got offended because I had my laundry car going towards the dryers. He wasn’t even doing laundry. He was hanging outside Popeyes. There’s people blocking the back door sitting next to it and other people trying to get out. But out of fear they walked around the building because these individuals didn’t want to move. Guess what? They were not even doing laundry as well. It’s just a mess. They were just sitting there blocking the exit. I really hope they can fix these things. When there’s no supervision or management does not even say a word. It’s game over inside...
