Been to this escape room three times so far - the Egyptian room and Crime Scene are great and I actually would definitely recommend!
Why the one star review then? My last experience there this week was one of (if not THE) worst escape room experiences I have yet to have. A friend was visiting from out of town and we decided to try out the newest room here - The Collector's Vault. I cannot advise you strong enough to not attempt this escape room.
Without giving anything away, I have yet to be in an escape room where you are actually LOCKED in a closet for an extended period of time with no way out. This was insane and caused two members of our group severe discomfort. On top of that, the puzzles are beyond difficult - nearly impossible to complete without significant amount of clues.
On top of the terrible experience, when we left we told them they really should warn people about actually being locked inside a closet, to which they said we could have asked to leave and they would have unlocked it. We had no walkie-talkie, as it was locked outside the closet we were stuck in and our game master wasn't even paying attention to us. Lights malfunctioned and things weren't opening properly and he did nothing but add a few minutes to our time instead of coming in to fix the issues.
Have claustrophobia? Definitely don't do this room. Want to do an escape room that actually makes sense and works properly? Again, this one isn't for you. What an actually insane concept - felt more like we were in a Saw movie than a fun...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIncredible Disappointment!!!! Extremely Difficult, Dino Room is NOT for kids at all! I was extremely disappointed when I arrived. It was just myself and my 10 year old. I have done escape rooms before and I was a little bit apprehensive about doing a room with just one child and 1 adult. I specifically asked if it would be difficult, I was told "people do it all the time". We were unable to do 95% of the room. The majority of the game consisted of the workers just simply giving us the answers. We did not have enough time to figure anything out because it was just the 2 of us for a 6 person room. I could see how the game might be fun if there was enough people. In tge very least we should have been given enough time since it was only 2 people, (1 being a child), however that was not the case here. I would have gladly come back at another time if I was told in the beginning that it would be extremely challenging and almost impossible for 2 people instead I was urged to do the Room anyway even though I mentioned several times that I did not think 2 people would be able to do a whole Room by themselves especially a kid. Extreme disappointment, waste of money, Frustrating, and NOT FUN! I will never go back and I will also tell others never...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe went to Dino room for my daughter's 13th birthday. It was third escape room we did overall, first one at this location. Reading all positive reviews, we were very excited to try new place. First of all, when you reserve the room online, the price is for non-private room, which, honestly, considering size of rooms, would be pretty strange to do with strangers. We payed for the private room, which ended up being $215 per an hour for four people. Decorations were nice, rooms on rather on the smaller side. We felt that most of puzzles were similar and resulted in finding codes for some lock (probably like 10 locks total), which made the whole adventure a tedious and on the boring side. There was no variety in type of puzzles, so teens got bored pretty quickly. We asked for help few times, and it felt that stuff was annoyed with us, plus radio did not work that well, so communication was tricky and slow. We did not get out and were asked to leave right away without encouragement or debriefing (ok guys you did not get out, time to leave, code for door is...), again felt pretty impersonal. Overall, experience made us feel tired, disappointed and dumb, plus felt that we were overpaying, which did not happen with escape...
