The place with the line out the door on the weekends… every time I visit Boone I want to give it a try but I’m usually too hungry to wait that long for a bagel. This time I finally waited in line to have a seat and give them a try. I ordered the bagelicious and when it came out I was a little surprised because I thought it came overstuffed. That was my mistake, I misread the menu, I saw “overstuffed” following the end of the description and then the price. The bagel sandwich was good, nothing against the food or restaurant, I just don’t think the wait on the weekend is worth any bagel. The hostess was very friendly and explained the line situation. The dining area inside is small and apparently it’s better during the week but on the weekend you get a heavy mix of locals and visitors. You can also call in your order to go which was good to know. Their reuben’s on the lunch menu came highly recommended to me so I’ll probably stop in again on my next visit to give them a try. All in all, food was good, iced latte was good, but expect to wait on the weekend.

Was so excited to try this place out I love bagels and I’m gluten free. When we got out here after waiting in line and waiting on our bagels we were disappointed.. me and my boyfriend ordered 2 bagels toasted with cream cheese what we got was 2 cold bagels not toasted with so much cream cheese we had had to scrape half of it off to even eat it. It wasn’t good. Also while I was waiting for my bagels I was off to the corner not around anyone I had on a mask I slipped down for a half second to drink a sip of my coffee I had and before I had the chance to pull it up a employee from behind the counter yelled out to me that I need to put my mask on correctly literally yelled. My mask wasn’t off and I wasn’t near anyone I was just about to fix it before she yelled out to me. I get it it’s the rules but the way she went about it was inappropriate and embarrassing.

I decided on Boone Bagelry rather than grabbing something from a local chain. I love local eateries! I was not disappointed! I had a bagel/cream-cheese and coffee. The bagel was crusty on the outside chewy on the inside. The coffee was nice and hot. They have many different kinds of bagels. They also have many different kinds of cream cheese spreads. The staff / friendly. I enjoyed my coffee and bagel so much, when I come back to Boone, I’m heading back to this place for a warm and refreshing experience. Lots of parking in their own parking lot .

A group of 18 of us walked in to eat. 2 of the girls got chick-fil-a beforehand due to one being pregnant and being very sick from being pregnant. Our pregnant friend gets sick off of eating certain foods but the one thing that doesn’t upset her is chick-fil-a. They made the 2 girls go outside and eat their chick-fil-a since it was outside food and drink - that is understandable even though a single restaurant has ever made her do that. anyways, whenever they finished their food sitting outside (no one else was sitting outside either just them) while we are all inside eating our food we ordered, they made them go away from the outside area (where NO ONE was) because they had chick-fil-a cups of water. the friend who isn’t pregnant informed the worker that our friend is pregnant and had been very sick and NEEDS water. she said it didn’t matter she would get in trouble FOR A CUP OF WATER, again please note our friend gets very very sick throughout the day so she was having to sit on the curb outside, them knowing she is pregnant. They did not even offer to get her one of their water cups. Again, we understood them asking them not having outside food and drink (even though no other restaurants have made us do that) but cups of water and making them walk away from the restaurant and sit on the curb - them knowing she is pregnant? We would understand if kindness would’ve just been shown or even if they would’ve asked to just replace their waters. The food and the lady who provided our service- we had no problem with. Just extremely disappointed due to my friends health that she has no control over how it was handled. Also I have never left a review in my life but was so upset with how they did that and decided it. It was very upsetting because we did give the establishment a lot of business from 16 but will never be back again :(

edit: my 2 friends were also going to order drinks who got chick-fil-a and did not have the...

Visited this restaurant while vacationing. I looked them up on Facebook prior to arriving and my daughter picked out something she liked. When I mentioned it to the girl at the front she looked at me like I was crazy and said it must have been for a different place. I looked back again, and it was definitely posted on their Facebook page (which, by the way, their Facebook doesn’t allow reviews - go figure). I pulled down my mask for just a second to scratch my face and the girl behind the counter yelled at me to pull it up, while in the process of already pulling it back up, mind you. The eggs we ordered came scrambled instead of over-easy. All around a bad experience and my family will not be returning on any future trips.

I just received a reply to this review that is listed below. I am appalled at the level of complete lies that were listed in the reply just because your business received a negative review. There was absolutely NO yelling and I would NEVER act like that, and especially in front of my children. I also never once asked for a manager or even spoke to a manager. I wasn’t on my phone talking at all either. Myself and both my children had on masks and support them, I only moved down my mask for a second to scratch my face as I truthfully put in my review. This reply is absolutely absurd and I can’t believe a business owner would go to the lengths of blatantly lying to try and cover up bad service. You should have taken the criticism and used it to make your business better and not make up complete lies. How awful. It just reiterates that posting the review was the right thing to do to deter anyone from supporting a business owner that would make up lies to cover their own shortcomings. How...

6 of us came in at 1 and ordered Ruben’s and pancakes. 2 of the 6 received their food after roughly 15 mins, and finished while the remaining 4 sat without anything for another 30 mins. When I inquired I received a smart a response from a waitress saying they were closing at 2 (it was 2:15 by now), it’s been “a long day”, and that the remaining food was different and takes longer. I explained that we ordered the exact same thing as the others and received it and finished eating it 30 mins prior. She got flustered and stomped off while complaining to others in the kitchen about it. Note that in the hour while we waited numerous people came in, ordered, ate and were on the way out. We were one of 2 tables left so I’m unsure how no one seemed to notice as they kept walking around talking loudly about how they were closing. My issue wasn’t the food nor the fact that it took so long and was obviously overlooked. My issue was regarding the horrible attitudes of the waitstaff. They were dishonest and disrespectful when all they had to say was “I’m sorry we are getting right on it”, instead of making us look like the ones that were wrong bc we asked about it. Just a disrespectful way to treat customers. Admit when you do something wrong and don’t hire waitstaff that are a holes. Not a good look. If the manager would like to discuss I’m happy to do so directly. Also our waitress Emily did a great job, unfortunately everyone else there was incredibly rude and condescending. Do better w your staff. What a horrible representation of Boone and the overall...
