If Saloon is good at one thing, it’s charging more to your card // people tipping themselves out. This is the second time I’ve had a problem with saloon and I’ll be honest, take your business somewhere else because it’s not worth it here. Tapp room honestly is a great spot during the day and at night when bands perform it’s actually quite chill. Explanation: The bartender on April 8, 2023 was very rude to myself and my friends. I had a moment where I cried and he tried to get us kicked out then proceed to say “Shoo away now, this is my money time”. Lol so respectfully my friends and I gave him a $0 tip. Upon checking our bank statements I see he graciously tipped himself $10. Good thing I always take pictures of my receipts! 🧚‍♀️ and for management who would like to argue or disagree, there’s your proof! :))

I just want to start this off by saying I never care enough to actually leave a negative review, or talk bad about a business because honestly, it’s never really that serious in my opinion. Everybody has their off days where things don’t go the way you want them to and that’s just life. And I honestly just want to leave this here because since my experience here, it has been bothering me to think about and I really just want to know if i’m the one in the wrong here. So, I was visiting from out of town this weekend and decided to come here to play some pool on saturday night. There was a $5 cover for a band that was playing upstairs, which later on got roped off for being at “max capacity.” Couldn’t even go up stairs to use the bathroom, or to check out band that I paid for. Thought it was odd they were treating one bar as two separate ones , but it was whatever, wasn’t super pressed about any of that. Was enjoying my night and ended up playing pool for a couple of hours, and during this, I had stepped outside on the downstairs porch for a brief moment to get some air. When I tried to go back inside I was stopped by a bouncer, telling me that I had to wait back in the long line to re-enter the bar. I tried explaining to him that I already had a tab open inside, I was in the middle of playing pool, and that I just stepped out for a second. But he didn’t care in the slightest. like the reviews before me he was on some kind of power trip, not seeming to care about anything that I had to say. I told him all of my stuff was in there too so I didn’t have my ID on me, and he ended up telling me that i could go in to grab my things, and if I didn’t come back in three minutes he would go in there, find me and “give me the biggest ban of my life”. I went to grab my stuff and let the people I was playing with know I was leaving, because I wasn’t going to go back and stand in line in the cold to re enter a bar i’ve been in for hours. When I came back the bouncer was already inside running around searching for me, saw him talk to another bouncer about if he’s seen me, I flagged him down and showed him I was at the door, and I left. I don’t know if this is just a normal thing up here, and nothing against the bar, but I hope that bouncer can get off his high horse and show some kindness...

My recent visit to the Saloon was an absolute disaster, leaving me with a bitter taste in my mouth and a strong desire to warn others about the horrendous service I encountered. The entire experience was marred by incompetence and a complete lack of professionalism.

From the moment I walked in, it was evident that customer service was not a priority at the Bar. The bartender seemed more interested in chatting amongst themselves than attending to patrons. Despite multiple attempts to get their attention, I was met with indifference and had to wait an unreasonable amount of time just to place a simple drink order.

When my drink finally arrived, it was poorly made and tasted nothing like what I had ordered. The bartender's lack of attention to detail and disregard for quality was apparent. It was clear that they lacked the necessary skills and knowledge to craft a decent cocktail.

To make matters worse, the staff seemed disorganized and overwhelmed. It was difficult to even find a server to take a food order. When I finally managed to flag down a server, they were rude and uninterested in providing any assistance. It seemed as if they were doing me a favor by allowing me to order. The food arrived much later than expected, and to my dismay, it was cold and unappetizing.

The overall atmosphere of the bar was also disappointing. The music was far too loud, making it impossible to hold a conversation. The seating arrangements were cramped and uncomfortable, leaving little space to move around. It was clear that they prioritized cramming in as many customers as possible, rather than providing a pleasant and enjoyable experience.

The prices here were also unreasonable considering the poor quality of service and products. It felt like a complete rip-off, and I left feeling cheated and unsatisfied with the value for my money.

In conclusion, the Boone saloon is a prime example of what not to do when it comes to customer service. The lack of attentiveness, subpar drinks and food, and overall disorganized and unpleasant atmosphere make it a place to avoid at all costs. Save yourself the disappointment and frustration by seeking out a bar that values its customers and strives for excellence. This bar is simply not worth your...

I called Boone Saloon to find out their hours for the day (It had been snowing for two days and there was an 8 inch accumulation and the only places open were Tapp Room and Ransom Pub) When I called and asked their hours there was trouble hearing the employee so I proceeded to call two more times but still had trouble hearing. My girlfriend then offered to call and ask for their hours and the employee that answered responded with “We close at 2am just like it says online. Goodnight.” The lady had a very rude attitude for no reason at all and was very snappy considering it was a warranted question, keep in mind this was a Sunday in the middle of a snow storm and not busy hours. Even with this experience we still decided to go out and try to have fun. Once we arrived and got to the bar we must have been greeted by the same rude attitude lady from the phone call. My girlfriend went to the bar and asked for a Vodka Lemonade and then proceeded to ask if there was a shot that she would recommend (Maybe something Boone Saloon is known for or a special shot that she enjoys making). The red head bartender proceeds to say to my girlfriend “Well if you’re an adult you would know what to order”. Well, we are adults, we are 23 year olds and both new graduates of App State with jobs. We have been to Boone Saloon many times and enjoy the downstairs and their games but we will not be returning after this. When we went to leave that night the bouncer at the front then informed us that they were closing at 12. After such a rude call from the lady earlier that night which clearly stated that they closed at 2am, I guess she was wrong :( If you’re going to use an attitude with a paying customer at least make sure your facts are correct. I would have understood the attitude if we were also giving an attitude or too intoxicated but neither were the case. We finished our drink and proceeded to march over to Ransom and we had the best time … drinking all the way til 2 am. After reading these other reviews I have noticed that this isn’t a new thing for the employees at...
