Ordered the green curry with tofu and paid $2 for extra shrimp. I ordered take out and re-plated the dish as soon as I got home which allowed me the chance to take stock of the fact I had just 3 small pieces of shrimp added to my order. The meal was lovely, I ordered it mild and liked that it was still slightly spicy, the fresh basil in the curry was fabulous and the tofu and vegetables were nice and crunchy. But I can't give a full five stars on account of the fact that I feel like if you're going to give the option for adding extra proteins, it should be a reasonable amount added to the order. Otherwise, ask customers if they want to pay $0.66 per shrimp.... I found it a little frustrating and others might agree. Just something to be aware of if you're thinking of ordering those extra items! (:

Ordered yellow curry, pad Thai, and drunken noodles last night. I am writing this review because the “drunken noodles” we got were definitely not drunken noodles. Perhaps a pad see ew, because there was no spicy basil sauce and the noodles had no flavor. Also we ordered beef drunken noodles and pork yellow curry it came with pieces of stewed meat instead of slices of beef or pork. I have never seen this before and if I were them, would stop doing this practice. Stewed meat is a totally different texture and flavor that is desired in these dishes.

What a great hidden gem!!! We are here visiting the area. I’ve had a lot of Thai and this could we be the best flavor I have had in the southeast. We had a combination of appetizers, sushi, pho and curries. I like it spicy, but others don’t like it hot. They were able to supply hot and regular flavorful meals. I think this restaurant is take out only. Parking to pick up orders can be a challenge, but don’t let that dissuade you.

We've been there many times in the past year, and have had wonderful food experiences. But yesterday has really affected our feelings about Sabeing. I am gluten free, because of a very intense allergy, and have trusted their menu items that are designated as (G) for gluten free. Last night I ordered something labeled (G), something I had ordered once before and it had come with rice noodles and was fine. This time it came with a different noodle, and when I asked the server about it she said they were gluten free noodles. I ate it, went home, and was already not feeling well. I Googled the noodles in question and they're not gluten free. They are a wheat noodle. When I called Sabeing to bring this to their attention, and let them know that this mistake was going to make me very sick, the person I spoke to said the owner marked that menu item (G) because the sauce is gluten free, and they offered to refund my meal.

First, refunding my meal doesn't make up for the two-three days of feeling terrible, not sleeping well, and struggling to work that I have to experience now.

Second, when a menu item is marked as free of an allergen, then people with food allergies expect that it's totally free of that allergen. If you mark a menu item as gluten free when only one ingredient is gluten free, you're misleading people with allergies and food concerns, and some of those people could become violently ill. This didn't seem to faze them when I mentioned this on the phone.

I love their food, but the total disregard for people's health and safety, and the obvious lack of knowledge about how to handle those issues, is going to make it hard for...

I've been going to sabeing since it was still dine in and I had loved them and their food, but with each recent time I've gone I've just been disappointed. I've been discriminated against by workers before for no apparent reason (I'm a normal looking collage age kid) and I've seen the same workers treat other customers nicer. After experiencing that I rarely went anymore. The final nail in the coffin was tonight going in to get my food and when I got home I realized that my fried tofu, something I've gotten multiple times before and usually love, was almost entirely hard and dry and just seems like it came from the bottom of the fryer. It wasn't even warm. It did take me a minute to pick up my food, but the rice in the same order was still warm at least. I really did used to love this restaurant, but at this point I'm done giving them chances and it will probably be a long time before going back if at all. I don't want to be contacted about this at all, I'm just...

Since my original review I have had nothing but issues with their new online ordering system and seems poorly maintained. Due to this I had to take away a star for convenience.

I would award Sabeing two trophies if I could. The BEST Asian cuisine in Boone, and the BEST shushi in Boone. I have found there is no need to drive all the way to High Point to get quality Asian food anymore. The Pad Thai was delicious. The flavors mixed well together and the spices were great. The noodles were an excellent reddish-brown, and not that American oily-red. The herbs were fresh. The sushi was fresh, and very flavorful. Hundreds of times better than any sushi from Cobo, Makatos, or anywhere else in Boone for that matter. The seating area is small, and when it is full expect a wait for your food. But it is well worth it. I know I...
