An interesting pair of statue figures you can see in Boston are that of the Tortoise and Hare located near the pool on Copley Square. These are another local creation of Nancy Schön (1993) who also gave Boston the Making Way for the Ducks statues in the Boston Public Garden.
Like the duck statues, the Tortoise and Hare figures are a neat thing to see for families. Here you see the hare causally resting and scratching its ear while the tortoise, just ahead, labours away towards the long and unlikely endeavour of winning the race. Yet on he goes!
