Finagle A Bagel — Restaurant in Boston

We went here specifically because I saw that they had whole wheat everything bagels, which I usually love and haven't found elsewhere in Boston. I ordered the bacon egg and cheese on a bagel. The egg and bacon were well cooked; the yolk was soft but not runny (I love runny eggs but have to avoid them right now, so this worked well for me). The cheese (I think a white cheddar) didn't totally mesh with the flavors the way I had hoped, though that may just be down to personal preference. Unfortunately, I didn't enjoy the bagel itself. I ordered a toasted sandwich, and my impression is that they put the whole sandwich in the toaster rather than toasting the bagel and then constructing the sandwich. Because of this, the interior of the bagel was soft and didn't have any crunch to provide texture contrast with the fillings. I visited this bagel place for the first time and it will be the last time and ordered a hot tea with lemon. The staff took my order without mentioning that they didn’t have fresh lemon. When I received the tea and noticed there was no lemon, I politely asked about it and was told they didn’t have any. I then noticed they offered lemon-flavored tea bags and asked if I could switch to that instead. The employee refused and said I would need to pay again, even though the misunderstanding was never clarified at the time of ordering.

When I asked to speak with a manager, she told me she was the manager and still refused to correct the order. I found the interaction very disappointing—especially for a manager—since a simple explanation or gesture of understanding could have easily resolved the situation. I was invited to eat there with my friend Gregory who helped me out during the winter walk when I had trouble getting up of a hill because of the disability to my knee from surgery he invited me there he paid for my breakfast and it was awesome I had the bagel BAC egg breakfast and it was awesome I texted him today and told him next time is my treat hopefully November 2020 I have nothing but good things to say about this place their food is awesome and the people are very friendly I look forward to eating there again especially with my friend Gregory who first introduced me to the winter walks every year in Boston which I will be going on my third year in January for February when it starts up again!
