Attention everyone, please read my review before even considering going here. This place was a huge let down, and I spent over $400 for two people. First off, I want to say this place is nowhere near 4.8 stars, considering the price point, like the reviews are saying. I went there based off that since 4.8 stars is extremely rare, let alone having thousands of reviews.
First off, when I arrived, I had very high expectations for this place. When I walked in, the place looked like a very nice place and looked like it was in fact high-end. When the hostess greeted us, they greeted us pretty friendly and were delighted that we chose their restaurant. However, the second they sat us down, the pleasantries stopped. The server greeted us and made some wild suggestions of ordering a burger in a high-end restaurant. Why would I go to your restaurant for a burger and pay outrageous prices? Speaking of prices, this place was a joke, with their prices being some of the most expensive prices that I’ve seen in the world for a normal restaurant. The problem isn’t mainly with the server getting things; it’s more with their intentions, which all they care about was money, and they weren’t knowledgeable at all. Runners were bringing food to the wrong tables numerous times throughout my visit, and they had no idea what they were doing. My biggest concern was that they didn’t have basic stuff available that all high-end steakhouses should have, such as ice for bourbon, creamed spinach, and macaroni for the Mac & Cheese, which is a total joke in my opinion. I highly recommend to the owners of this place to find a new person in charge of ordering your food because what I saw is a joke for a restaurant priced this high.
Now for the actual food itself, my appetizer calamari was on the chewy side and was a little bit greasy, but nothing I haven’t seen before. The steak was acceptable, but only the portions were small for the prices they were charging—$15 for a 14-ounce Delmonico steak?? Like what. Also $23 for a glass of simple bourbon—what a joke, considering the subpar quality this place has. Then they brought out dessert, which they didn’t even offer the person with me coffee or any other dessert, which I thought was beyond ridiculous, and the reason I took off all the stars possible. Plus, I saw they presented steak to someone with a fire torch where they didn’t do that for our table, which I thought was biased. They even had the audacity to charge for dessert even though it was for a birthday.
But one thing you can’t justify is a $370 bill BEFORE TIP for two people when only one person got dessert and no drinks with dessert. I drove almost 300 miles (5 hours) for an 18th birthday, and this is the best you can give me knowing that!? I will certainly never be returning here and highly discourage anyone from coming here. I've traveled thousands of miles around the world and to hundreds of restaurants, and I can say there are far superior restaurants for a lot less money. If you’re coming based off the rating it isn’t 4.8 stars it’s more like 3.8 stars...
Read moreI gave the restaurant two stars due to the food and service. The food was average, and I was expecting more. We had a party of four for my birthday, and the ambiance was stunning. The restaurant was nearly empty, with only five other parties present. The waiter was fantastic and did an excellent job of promoting the food. Once seated, we were informed that we had to order our appetizers with our meals, and they would arrive first.
For drinks, we had the guava berry kiss, spiced watermelon, and a perfect margarita. My sister was not a fan of the margarita. But the other drinks were fine.
We ordered the little burgers, crispy calamari, Caesar salad, and crabcakes, and when we received the little burgers, they were undercooked and had to be sent back. The calamari was delicious, but the crabcakes were confusing because we expected more than one, given the "s" at the end of the word. Despite this, the calamari and crabcakes tasted good. They did forget to bring our bread so we did also have to request that. The little burgers took a long time to return to the table, and we were disappointed with the service.
For our main course, we ordered ribeye spinalis medium with wagyu umami butter, NY strip steak medium well with truffle butter and three shrimp, Dry-Aged Tomahawk medium well with truffle butter, and ribeye spinalis medium well with wagyu umami butter and a lobster tail. Our sides were mac & cheese, mashed potatoes, corn pudding, and truffle fries. Two out of four steaks had to be sent back because they were not cooked correctly. We asked for medium well, but the NY steak was raw, and the ribeye was prepared well. We also noticed that they forgot to include the lobster tail, so both steaks were sent back to be refired. I did change the ribeye to the cowgirl bone in ribeye because it looked unsatisfying. My cowgirl steak came out before the other steak, and I suspect they forgot to cook the other steak because it took 30 minutes after the arrive of the cowgirl to arrive. When the steaks finally came out, the sides were cold, and they had an unusual taste because they were not served hot. This ruined the experience for half of the guests because we could not enjoy the food.
Our wait staff was very apologetic and recognized that they were having a bad day. They were extremely apologetic and offered me a dessert tray. The dessert was average, and nothing was exciting about it. They gave us a piece of cheesecake, a donut bag, and a cake they had specially made for Valentine's Day.
Would I recommend this place to someone? It depends on what they are looking for. If they want an excellent atmosphere for pictures and intimate time, then yes. However, if they're looking for great food, I would have to warn them that the food is not the main attraction, and they will be paying for the vibe, not the food.
I would like to add they did a great job returning my sister's good teeth when they accidentally took them when clearing the table...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I came here for a special "tasting event." TLDR: The food we were able to get was good, but the event was mismanaged and an overall waste of time (we got three pieces of food in 1.5hrs). The prices are very steep ($24 cocktails which are average quality). The atmosphere is strange - the loud party music and neon lights were very clubby, yet they seem to present as a fancy steakhouse. The staff was friendly but not very attentive (it took around 20 minutes for someone to ask us for a drink order, another 10 to tell us it was unavailable, and another 15 to get the drink. We were kind of hoping they would just forget to bring it at that point as we were ready to leave), and they did not seem informed on how the event worked either. I would not recommend.
When we arrived, we chose a seat and shortly after someone dropped off food at a center table. No one gave instructions or anything, so eventually everyone got up to go grab some of the dishes. It was clear not everyone had arrived yet but the food quickly ran out. About 20 minutes later, they brought out another round of food, which looked like a couple of different dishes. As there were several groups who arrived after the first round was already gone, we waited until others had a chance to get food before we went up, only to find it ran out again. We weren't worried since we figured more rounds would be coming, but we were wrong.
Though the event was from 6-8pm, they stopped serving after just the two rounds within the first 45 minutes - at least two parties missed the entire thing. I don't know why they would have a tasting event where there are limited tickets but then not prepare enough food for everyone - they knew exactly how many people were going to show up. There was no one controlling the amount people took, so theoretically some could have taken 3x their share, but again I would expect them to keep refilling for the duration of the event in which case it would not be a big problem, or if preparing exact amounts, they need to have someone serve it to guests. We felt jipped, having waited an extra hour for food that was never coming, and spent so much time for 3 pieces of food which we finished in 5 minutes. No staff members informed us of how it worked or that service was over, our waitress Jeneah just came to bring the check after a while. We left confused, disappointed, and very hungry (we just went out for Thai...
