I’ve seen a few YouTubers vids on place and owner is a make up artist and film maker. It’s approx 20-25 minutes from Vegas strip on way to Hoover dam The outside being baked in the Nevada sun bit worn but great theming . Really liked the hearse and Lily Munster paint job on hood , cool outdoor decorations. Once inside decent size entry way and shop lots of horror toys and trick r treat studios masks ,magnets etc, plus tees of museum and YouTuber Actually bathroom is pretty cool Shinning themed well done and bathroom door casket, was impressed with work put into it(kinda wish some of this detail went into many of the displays). It’s a self guided walk thru or u can get one with owner prearranged. The rooms are pretty dark and cramped walking thru . Did it with 3 others it was cramped many places. At each area there was info related to displays , problem was it was too dark to read a lot of the information. I was expecting a lot more classic horror figures, the quality of many of them , I don’t even know what to say , honestly I don’t even know , maybe why??? There was a cool Halloween front porch set and They Live display. . I did really like the original props on display from movies he did, especially enjoying the Full moon movies and puppet master series growing up. Some really cool pieces as well as other props. One of the Biggest disappointments and what did I just see was , I can only guess was the Planet of the Apes gorilla??? One more , why moments. It ended in a small theatre room running continuous clips of interviews and info on different make up greats, which was cool. It cost me $80 for 4 of us , was i disappointed Yes! I had higher expectations , especially because of quality of original props , was expecting that reflected in displays. I would say worth it for younger kids for fun, but hard core or even horror fans if u get half priced or just for fun not expecting much it’s something to do. Unfortunately for real horror fans so little out there , to see especially year round take what u can. So to sum up great theming and idea, wish effort was put...
Read moreWe went to Tom Devlin’s Monster Museum expecting something fun and quirky, and it completely exceeded expectations. The museum itself is super fun — packed with fascinating facts about horror classics, makeup artists, and special effects legends. It’s kind of like a horror-themed wax museum, and the craftsmanship behind the displays is awesome. You can tell this place was built with love for the genre.
But what really took things to another level were the haunted houses at the Fright Zone. Clown Town was delightfully terrifying, but the one that really got us was Blackwell Manor. The acting, the sets, the house design — absolutely top-tier. It felt like we’d stepped into a movie. We were legitimately terrified (in the best way). The actors didn’t just startle us — they stayed in character and chased us out for way longer than we expected! The energy and commitment were insane.
We go to haunted houses every year, including the big professional ones like Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights, and this was right up there in terms of quality. I actually wanted to go through Blackwell Manor again, but my partner was way too shaken up to risk a second round — and honestly, I couldn’t brave it alone!
This place completely exceeded expectations. The attention to detail, the creativity, and the pure fun of it all make it a must-see for horror fans. Whether you love classic movie monsters or just want an unforgettable scare, Tom Devlin’s Monster Museum and Fright Zone are absolute can’t-miss experiences.
Couldn’t recommend it...
