I don't normally leave 1 star reviews but this certainly deserves one. I like to give as many chances as possible, and go with the flow. During this visit and the entire experience, my patience has finally run out.
We went in for a bedroom set that we soon found out the prices are much different than advertised online. (No huge deal)
Next, we had the furniture delivered and paid for install (setup) which went well until the drivers had to "run back to the store" to grab some tools and then be back to finish an hour later. That hour came and went, and we were left with a partially finished bed frame, and our old mattress they were supposed to take with them. They rushed a signature saying "this is to say we showed up, just sign here" (blank page with signature line). As soon as the signature was complete they jumped back in the truck and were never to be seen again.
We contacted our salesman and he said they would send someone else to pick up the mattress the following week. I told him I would be able to tighten and finish the assembly of our bed frame so we could sleep that night as to not cause any concerns or get anyone in trouble.
Fast forward to the following week. Different drivers showed up, looked at the mattress, and refused to take it because they had "sensitive skin" and it wasn't wrapped in plastic (the mattress is only 3 years old and has light use, no stains, and basically perfect condition. Still, I could understand why). They promptly left and I immediately contacted our salesperson yet again to find a resolution. I even personally offered to bring the mattress directly to the business. He told us to "just tape trash bags around it and that should be enough." for the other drivers. (frustrated but understandable). I immediately wrapped the mattress in painters drop cloth and a plastic (sort of) cling wrap and a ton of tape (thinking the drivers would come back the same day).
Fast forward yet another week, our salesman stopped responding to us, no drivers have been out and the mattress still remains in our home. We talked to a customer service representative and they want to charge us for removal of the mattress that was supposed to be taken care of 4 weeks ago. It's only $75 but the principal far outweighs the cost. This was by far one of the top 3 worst experiences I've had with a business. I don't like complaining, and I try to exhaust all options before acting like a "Karen", but come one people....you have a business, DO BETTER.
Having said all this, I will no longer do business with Ashley Furniture, their outlets, or anyone affiliated with this business. Your management is a direct reflection of how you conduct business in a professional manner.
**Mike: I get you're a salesman and you've been doing it for 14 years and although I could see you regurgitate your sales training tactics, you were actually pretty cool. You're probably pretty comfortable, you may have lost sight of why you started but that's none of my business. My problem is, when you tell us you're going to take care of it and make it right...I expect you to at least follow through with everything before turning your back on us and ignoring us with a very legitimate...
Read moreI bought a bed and power base from Ashley on June 26th and it was delivered on the 11th of July. At the time of purchase we bought the warranty and was told we had to buy the mattress protector if we wanted the warranty and the said that they highly recommended it because of the base of the mattress. All of the paperwork was signed on a tablet and they briefly went over some of the stuff. The one thing they did not go over was that once the furniture arrives at the house and you take delivery that ALL SALES ARE FINAL!! I was buying this bed for my step son and they did not tell us at the time that the mattress pad was $319. They told me the warranty was $319 and I was ok with that but they did not tell me the mattress protector was that price at well. Don’t buy furniture there at all because when I went to return the mattress pad they said they could not do the return in store. I called the 800 number and they said they could not return the mattress pad either.
What ever you do please go someone else in town and do not get screwed over by Ashley. It is work more to go someone else where they will take care of you after the purchase. The salesperson was nice at the time of purchase and could care less...
Read moreI love my furniture from there and both times purchased warranty. I was never told by either sales person that if you don't end up using your warranty you get in store credit. A friend of mine told me, so I called their main company line since this store was closed due to COVID or lesser hours, and they told me that this were true and that I had $199 to spend within a certain period of time and another $159 next. I went to the store excited to spend this money and most likely the item would be more than the credit since I was wanting a dresser. once at the store, I did have a nice lady to check in on me but she was new, so when I asked her about spending the credit, she was not 100% sure and went and asked a higher up. They said, you have to spend $500 before you could even use the credit and it could not be used with a sale. It caught me off guard and halted my shopping immediately due to the fact that I was talked into needing a warranty without this credit perk explanation to begin with then add on stipulations. I don't like handling business this way, so unfortunately I will be losing these credits...
