Sit 'n Sleep — Attraction in Brea

I had a terrible experience with Sit’n Sleep located at 2500 E Imperial Hwy, Brea, CA, and I strongly advise against purchasing an expensive bed from them. On September 2, 2024, I bought an adjustable bed for $4,490.88, which has caused me severe health issues. After sleeping on it just one night, I woke up unable to move my neck due to intense pain, resulting in an urgent care visit and several physical therapy sessions. When I reached out to the salesperson, Tyson Davis, he was unavailable for days. We scheduled an appointment to discuss the issue, but when we arrived, he didn't show up and failed to call us to cancel. Instead, we spoke with the store manager, who was incredibly dismissive and rude. She needs customer service and sensitivity training for her role. When we pointed out her rudeness and condescension, she angrily disagreed, stating that she had been with the company for over 20 years. She stated that we were out of luck because Sit’n Sleep would side with her, not the customers. It felt like she believed she was right, leaving us stuck with an unusable bed while still making payments. She looked down on my husband and me, both Hispanic and pretended not to understand us. When I explained my neck pain, she mocked me, suggesting that everyone uses that excuse to return expensive beds. Her “solution” was to not use the adjustable feature at all, which completely defeats the purpose of why we bought the bed in the first place! After multiple calls to customer service, they finally agreed to change the mattress, but I had to pay an additional $1,093.62 for a softer mattress. Unfortunately, the issue lies with the adjustable frame, not the mattress itself, and I am still unable to use the bed. Sadly, I still have to make payments on it because I financed the purchase. This experience has been the worst of my life, and I've been going to physical therapy to address the pain caused by the bed. If you're considering an adjustable bed, I highly recommend looking at Costco instead, where you can return it at any time without hassle. My fiancé has been KILLING ME (pun intended) over our mattress situation over the past year and a half! We’ve gone through so many different types of mattresses… Sleep number (the gap drove me nuts), cheap foam mattress (trash), Dreamcloud (I woke from bouncing every time my fiancé got in the bed), and now Tempur-pedic (which my fiancé says feels hard as a rock lol). This mattress matter has caused lots of problems and disagreements between us. I needed a mattress that had minimal transfer motion and good support, and my fiancé needed a much softer bed, or we were gonna start sleeping in separate beds, and that did not work for me! Last night Was the last straw and we needed a solution… FAST! We drove into Sit n Sleep in Brea at 8:45 PM, 15 minutes before closing. Tyson was the only sales rep there. I felt so bad that we were going to keep him at work longer, but like I said, it was an emergency! Tyson was so patient with us, Really listened to both of us and our needs, took the time to show us mattresses that he thought might work for us, allowed us to jump from mattress to mattress. An hour and a half later, 10:15 PM, over an hour after the store closed, we think we may have found the mattress that’ll work for us!
