I went to Lenscrafter Brookline last week to do a frame adjustments. I bought my pair of eye glasses from Asia. I gave the glasses to the Asian lady who sat on the right side of the store. The Asian lady (partial owner) took my glasses and went inside the optical room. There was a dark (island) skin guy (co-owner) was inside the optical room. My pair of glasses was switched by the partial owners in the store with no axis. I got a new prescription from my eye doctor recently. The switched eyeglasses has no axis and the powers are not correct. My original pair of glasses is rectangle and it looks better than the pair that I got from Lenscrafter. My glasses has axis and glasses received is different. I created a short video and the store called the police. One of the Brookline police officers, O’Connor, told me not to shop in the store again on 9/10/2025, 1:37PM. I left the store and went to the Brookline Police Station to file a case. I saw the officer, O’Connor again in the police station. O’Connor told me to call the Lenscrafter manager to discuss the issue. I called the Lenscrafter the next day; spoke to Vhang, store manager, but did not get help. I also called the corporate office, but it is temporary out of service and the number does not work. My number is blocked by Lenscrafter. I emailed the Town of Brookline, the business clerk and told to contact the consumer affairs. Lenscrafter Brookline has great service who switched customers’ products and force the customers not to come again. Jasmine Le 9/10/2025 Wednesday 1:37PM (revised on...
Read moreI would not recommend this office. With quality insurance, for a ridiculous copay of $70, I got a subpar examination. If you want to have a more thorough examination you are met with all kinds of additional fees not covered by insurance. Meanwhile, the very next week, I booked another appointment at a different eye care office (because of the inadequacy of this office) and was met with only a $35 copay (literally half) with an extremely thorough and comprehensive examination. I give three stars because the front desk assistant was at least very helpful and patient.
The doctor made me feel inferior and incompetent because I did not take out my contacts before the examination; however, I selected very clearly on my intake form that I currently wear contacts, and it was the front desk personnel who began my prescreening with the contacts in. The entire exam had to be repeated. Furthermore, after getting opinions from two different eye doctors, I was told that my prescription filled by this lens crafter doctor was incorrect. So I had to have new contact lens prescriptions filled and paid for.
Lastly, they claimed to have “called several times” to verify insurance. I will admit that I did have one missed call from them the day before my appointment, but I assumed it was an appointment reminder. I received two calls from them and one of those calls was to reschedule my appointment because something had come up for the doctor. Just not that great of...
Read moreDisappointed with the service: I ordered my eyeglasses, and I was told to get them after ten days; unfortunately, I did not. I called the store, and a rude lady answered the phone, telling me that I have to count for another 14 days (seriously! Not one or two days?). When I said I want to cancel the order, she hanged up the phone on me. I believe her name starts with S and ends with N ( I couldn't read her name clearly; No Glasses)
Cons: -Extra red tape, paying the Doctor separately, then paying for the glasses after. -Non-friendly sales representative (Some, and not all) -Try to sell you the most expensive lenses first, and don't show you all the options. If you refuse, they will show you the less costly alternatives. -They charge more than what VisionWorks does.
Pros: +A larger selection of eyeglasses comparing to some other LensCrafters stores in the area +Friendly and helpful Doctor; gives extra time for accurate examination +Convenient location if yo are using public transportation +A friendly technician; He doesn't hesitate to come out and offer help. His tips are more useful than the sales team Better precision eye exam than VisionWorks! They give you a variety of eyeglasses measures that you could need( if you ask for it). One progressive, one for computer, and one...
