I LOVED this museum!! I enjoyed it tremedously! It was free. The lady who works there was super nice and helpful. The museum has an incredibly interesting collection! Very high quality! I absolutely loved the Assyrian/Babilonian bas-reliefs. They also colored them with pointed lights - something I've never seen before. It was breathtaking. I loved the collection of unique and girgeous handmade baskets. It was very interesting to learn about the women who made them. Very unique. And of course, the European art! Beautiful collection!! I want to come back and enjoy it again! Also, I have to say that their gift shop had things that I haven't seen anywhere before. Very unique things - crafts, games, books, accessoiries, etc. Very different. HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO VISIT this museum!

The ancient Akkadian and Etruscan galleries and European paintings were absolutely beautiful. Yet the entire ground floor was full of highly disturbing, unsettling "art" including distorted, discolored mannequins with wire protruding from their extremities, haunting noises, and bright flashing lights (trigger warning for epileptics/people who are sensitive to strobing lights). It felt like I was walking through a horror house. Absolutely NOT a place I would take my daughter and I noticed another family skipping these galleries since they also seemed concerned about the content. I am glad it was free because I would not pay to see the garbage on the...

This is an amazing experience to attend regularly or just once. The pieces on display and articles about them are so accompanying and laid out in a way that is a very natural timeline flow (or laid out naturally dependent on the artwork they have on temporary display). I especially enjoy poking into the movie theater display (even though I'm probably remembering it by incorrect words LOL). In this theatre you can find videos for the artist groups that are being highlighted. There is obviously a great gift shop here no notes necessary. A very kind thing in the community is that the admission fee is donation-based and that gains extra...
