Not the most friendliest of library or helpful staff wise. Perhaps because we now live in times where technology is easy accessible in many ways. So I’ll give the staff the benefit of the doubt however every time I come here. They never smile or much less greet you with a hello or have a good day. Forget asking them for help. Staff will surely give you a run down and of how or what. However a let me known if you need help with that further or I’m here if you need furthers assistance. It’s almost like they are so bothered by questions and asking for help. I will gladly explain my experience on just one of the many experiences here. On this occasion I went to return books figured because it’s open. I could return at the desk vs the window outside of the library entrance. I was not greeted warmly or friendly at all. Instead was told I had to return the books outside at the window as “they go directly to the area they need to go to” I was confused as last I checked the library desk is also included in the entire library area and property, where books are checked in and out. To further note a cart where she could of easily placed the books was not many feet from her. Perhaps too lazy to get up and place them there. Later I observed a different staff member accept books being dropped off at the front desk and place them in the cart. I observe many (perhaps way too many) employees at this library and so very little help and assistance. On two occasions being here. I observe a few of them sitting around talking and heard a conversation that is not work related borderline inappropriate. I’m not one to complain much less write a review. However this library has much much room for improvement staff wise!! Now I try to avoid this library as...
Read moreThis is not a very child friendly library. I've been here many times with children of all ages. Aside from the Librarians and Security guards coming to tell off the children who are talking in normal volume voices in the meeting area or the play area of the children's area, there is not much for children to do besides blocks and wood puzzles. I know you're saying they can read, but these days most libraries, in other areas, not only offer books but inspire creativity, critical thinking, and imagination for all ages. The meeting area has some serious acoustics so even in a low voice it still carries. Not only that after meeting most of the Librarians and their aides they need a few lessons in their outward service to their patrons, lest they forget no patrons equals no reason for the library to stay open. I can't tell you how many times the person I was talking to looked as if they were in physical pain just having to communicate. 2 stars because it is clean, and has...
Read moreI am a library lover and this location did not disappoint. All staff I interacted with were polite and helpful. Appreciate having a security guard that actually gets up and walks around monitoring regularly. The children's library is a good size and even has a play kitchen area, which was being used enthusiastically. There is a section for teens with areas to relax & read. Plenty of computers with access to printers and time usage of 1 hour. Study rooms, meeting areas, Spanish books, a corner to buy used items, vending machines, and bathrooms. I was impressed with audio books and dvds provided and found a couple of newly released books available. Only suggestion would be to consider offering a workshop to help seniors with technology as quite a few were struggling with how to...
