Hobby Lobby — Local services in Bullhead City

I went in today to browse a few products for wedding decor, I had my bag with me in the basket, within less than a minute or two of entering the store, i was approached by an older employee (will be going back to find out her name and to formally complain) asking if i was finding everything, i politely nodded and said yeah, just getting started with looking at everything. She then leaned over clearly looking into my bag and basket, I hadn't even touched any item yet. I closed my bag because I work retail, open bag never leads to any good situation so I zipped it up. I then went to the wedding decor section and picked out some stuff that I did want to purchase but after looking at the ad, even though the items are labeled "floral" that they would not be on sale until next week, so out of respect of employees i then put the items back and the same lady approached me asking where the items had gone and I told her since they are not sale items that I put them back because i rather get them cheaper the following week. she was like "oh okay well my manager will need to speak to you before you leave the store because your bag was opened now closed and the items are missing." I even attempted to show her inside my bag, but she refused and had a very smart a** tone with me. Accusing customers of stealing without a genuine reason? really hobby lobby?! I work retail, never have i heard of approaching someone without watching them place items into their pockets or attempt to conceal them?! Very upset with this hobby lobby location, I have heard of them profiling just about anyone who looks like they are under 60! This situation is being taken up beyond store level because this situation needs to be properly handled and clearly common in the bullhead city...

Overpriced. Many items are low quality i.e., warped wood, clumpy paint, split coregation, flawed fabric, cheap wire at high prices, etc. The staff is unfriendly and dismissive to the point of ignoring the customers entirely and laughing and chatting with one another on the floor and during check out; asking for help is an annoyance to them. I have not spoken with one employee that was knowledgeable regarding items stocked in the store, alternative items, or supplies needed for project completion. When I was last in the store there were no crafting employees. I was treated as a lunatic when I tried to explain that I was looking for rice paper, printed tissue paper, and decoepage supplies; they no clue as to what I saying and I am articulate, specific, and patient. Not all items to complete a project are even sold in the store, for example, alcohol painting, hot painting, latch hooking, or wood burning, which makes it necessary to go elsewhere to get the remainder of tools or supplies needed. It's buying a cake mix that doesn't have flour in it from a store that doesn't sell flour ~ what's the point of buying the cake mix there at all. This has been my experience repeatedly. I am an artist so I was very excited when it was announced this store was opening. It's very doubtful I would ever return to this store...

I have never been to this place and I will never visit this, or any other, Hobby Lobby store!

US Supreme Court decisions not withstanding, businesses should not be allowed to discriminate against anyone who works for them or anyone doing business in their stores based on the owner's religious beliefs, the beliefs of the employees, or the beliefs of the customers. Civil rights, employment, workplace safety, and healthcare laws and regulations governing what businesses are allowed, required, or prohibited from doing, exist in the public interest.

Businesses like Hobby Lobby exist solely for the enrichment of the owners and investors and have very tenuous connections to any public benefit whatever.

Religious beliefs of business owners, employees or customers, or the absence of them, cannot legitimately be used to subvert US or State anti-discrimination statutes or other business regulations.

For this reason, my dollars will never be used to support any business engaged in such...
