We came one Sunday and purchased many items. After we paid, the cashier handed us our bags. We assumed that the cashier handed us all of our bags, but that wasn't the case. The cashier kept some of our bags behind the counter and never handed them to us after we paid, checked out, and left. When we got home, we realized that we did not receive all of our items. We called the store, and it was confirmed after they check the camera, that the cashier kept some of our bags behind the counter and did not hand them to us. We had to drive 20 miles back the Ross the next week and wait one hour while they checked the camera again. After confirming for a second time that the cashier did not hand us all of our bags, we were provided a refund for the items we did not receive. When we requested some form of compensation for our lost time and travel, we waited 30 more minutes only to be informed that the store general manager, Elham, said all we get is a refund and no compensation. We saw the young lady that did not hand us our bags, and she walked by us like she didn't even see us, she didn't even offer an apology. Having worked in customer service for more than 25 years, this is the worst type of customer service I've ever seen and might explain why this store is in such disarray and unorganized. It shows a lot about the leadership that this store is provided. Ross, you might want to hire some new leadership in Burbank, or provide intensive training for this manager who obviously doesn't know the first thing about...
Read moreI had been shopping at this Ross location practically my whole life which disappoints me in having to give a bad review. I go to the return line where there is only 3 people before me & 2 of them are together so really only 2 transactions to be made before me & along with that, there are only 3 or 4 people in the purchase line which really shouldn’t be that hard in assisting customers RIGHT AWAY. I was wrong. The cashiers kept helping people in the purchase line and NO ONE in the return line until the manager, Lester, came but even then that wasn’t much help now, was it? A ton of customers start coming to the purchase line & return line five minutes after I had been waiting. I keep looking at the clock already annoyed that they’re not helping anyone in my line. The manager takes one return & then when it’s my turn, he takes someone from the purchase line even though there’s like 5 other cashiers to help with the purchase line and apparently NO ONE NOW for return. People that had came to the purchase line after I had already been in the return line for quite a while were helped before me. It took literally 15 minutes for me to be called. The cashier, Dayna, apologized for what I had experienced which I appreciate but it still shouldn’t happen. This store needs to IMPROVE ON CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I probably won’t be returning to this...
Read moreA surprise to find this Ross brand of store in a trendy business district, but it seems to be working - got me in there! It stays open a lot later at night (at least on that night) while many other stores are shutting off lights & asking customers to wrap up their shopping and leave. That may have accounted for how many people were in here to shop around (-no other places open.) OK, this place is "crammed full" of an array of every kind of stuff - "something for everyone", if you keep looking around; and at a marked-down price. Some great quality items, some chintzy-made things, so look closely at what you find, and "choose wisely" and save yourself some money by putting the junky stuff , or the stuff you don't really need back on to the shelf. Walk out with a good quality bargain & feel good about having shopped at this Ross. This is a small business space for all that they fit into it, so it makes it a very crowded store with narrow aisles; so be considerate to move a bit to make way for other customers to get by while you are immersed in looking at your interesting &...
