Panini Kabob Grill - Burbank — Restaurant in Burbank

I been wanting to try this place for a few months now. I am always in Burbank and constantly meeting up with friends to catch dinner and a movie. We have our usual spots but we are always looking to try something new. For me since I cook and have cooked professionally for so long I love days when I can relax, order food and be waited on.

I read the yelp reviews and although there are a few bad reviews most were good and the food looked good. So we decided tonight would be the night. Nora B was our server, she was very welcoming and friendly. She took our order with a smile and although not everyone thinks this is a big thing I am finding the finer art of customer service to be hard to find lately. The staff beginning with the host are you first contact with the restaurant. Their attitude can effect your visit very easily.

My wife and I both ordered the lamb. I ordered mine rare and she ordered hers medium well. We both loved our food, I mean everything on our plate was delicious. My one and only problem was that pita and hummus was not included. Although I joined the reward program which got us a free order of pita and hummus. They were excellent! Something about warm pita and hummus when done right is so satisfying.

Finally as for our service. Our waitress was busy and I could see that, she scurried from table to table taking orders. Yet we weren’t ignored, this is very important! The support staff was there to help. A bus boy refilled my drink and the manager brought out our food. I didn’t catch his name but he was also very friendly.

Overall I can say this is not the last time we will be coming here. I already know what I am going to order on...

Terrible place to dine in. Came Saturday in the afternoon to have late lunch. The hostess asked me indoor or outdoor , I told her I would love to sit outdoor so she told me anywhere that I want. After sitting on an outdoor table, it was dirty. Then the waitress came to take my order with no concern on cleaning the table. I asked for a cup of water and a Coke in addition to my order,. I waited more than 30 minutes. My order never came, she didn’t even concerned about cleaning up the table, then while she was passing by my table, I told her what happened to my order. She said that she will check, since I was waiting, I didn’t drink my Coke and the ice got melted I told her if she could fill up with more ice because it melted, si she went to the back to refill the glass with ice, then came back and slammed the glass on the table with attitude. The hostess came by and I told her about that action and checked again regarding my order, she said that they are behind and they need more time. I told her if my order is not ready I need to leave. She said that they need time and she cannot do anything ! I even showed her the table is dirty when she gave me the choice to sit wherever I want, but she didn’t even care. I told her this is a bad service and management and I need to talk to the manager so she replied. I am the manager. I told her this is not good. So she said , it is what it is. I got so upset and took off. she didn’t even care. I came back to ask her about her name. She replied with no caring that her name is Evelyn. My friends and I came to eat here because we wanted kabobs while being in the area. I saw that they had some good reviews so I thought this would be a good choice. The restrauant is on the 3rd floor on top of Five Guys. When we arrived, we were able to get seated right away. We were waiting for 1 of our friend to join so our waiter was understanding. When he arrived, we put in our orders. I got the Flat Iron Steak Shish Kabob with rice and ceasar salad since I couldn't substitute the salad with a soup. My friend got the Beef Koobideh Kabob with 2 skewers. Our other friend also got their Charbroiled Chicken Shish Kabob with double salad. They don't give bread here for complimentary so keep that in mind. Our food took about 30 minutes to come out after ordering so that of course wasn't ideal. I did not like my dish, the Iron Steak had more burnt taste than anything else and I didn't taste any seasoning on it. The rice also had some portion that was hard instead of soft so it was not my favorite. The restrauant is okay but the wait and the quality of food just wasn't there that day.
