This should be zero stars since I never got the dress I ordered!!
My daughter went Shopping at the Burlington Glitterati store and decided to buy the dress she liked from the Glitterati website. The dress was listed as in stock and ship in 2-3 days. I recieved a purchase/confirmationt by email. After 2.5 weeks the dress was not delivered and no email updates, so I tried to call (lefft messages) and emailed customer support without response. I stopped in at a local Glitterati and the "system was down" so they could not check inventory of the 4 local Glitterati shops. The woman was nice enough to search her store inventory without luck.
After a few more calls and left messages I finally got someone on the phone from another store location. Initially she said it can take longer for delivery but I persisted I wanted to speak to a manager and confirm her dress was available to ship - my order receipt said in stock. It was then explained to me the dress always says in stock online however there is no warehouse they just use stock from their local stores and the computer is not always up to date. It took several more days for an employee to search inventory at all the local stores. To inccrease the chances of finding a dress my daughter liked, I suggested they pull all dresses of that syle number regauardless of color in size 00 and 0 and we would consider picking from what dresses were available. Unfortunately they were unalbe to find any dress in that style number in the size range I requested. Thats six colors and two size options and they found NOTHING!! Hard to believe.
Luckily I was able to order the same dress online and that store was excellent. The store Dress Me Up of NewYork had the dress color and size my daughter wanted. I paid a little extra for quicker shipping because of the wasted time by Glitterati. Dress Me Up emailed me receipts and tracking numbers and kept me informed. I was able to speak to them on the phone when I called, great customer service.
I really wanted to shop local but Glitterati was unable to deliver the dress that they said was in stock, and no one seemed to know it was not available and I probably would have never been notified in a timely manner. Its appauling that in order to buy the dress online you have to check a box that confirms dress is Non refundable, non exchangable and all sales final but yet they cant follow through on a dress listed as in stock. Shame on them for not being more organized about their inventory and shame on them for not notifing me or rectifieng the situation within a day or two. It took at lest a week. They know dress shopping and finding the perfect dress is a big deal for these kids...
Read moreWoman wouldnât let us speak to say what my daughter liked and didnât like. Kept showing her dresses that were horribly opposite what my daughter kept saying she was looking for. I know that even at a bridal shop they do that because they think you may like something that you think you donât like I get it, but she was showing her dresses for people way more mature than someone going to a junior prom. They were ugly. I could tell that my daughter was getting very overwhelmed because the woman was not listening to her so I said, letâs just start with these two dresses. Then she put us in a dressing room set her up with one dress and try the on and said try that while I go find something else. My daughter was able to try on two dresses before she came back. They were more worried about was who was getting the next shopper which clearly means they may commission off sales but she had no interest in listening to either of us speak and when she came back, I had told my daughter I was gonna tell her we were done for the day and that we had been shopping at some other stores already and we were going to take a break, but the only reason we really were done there was because the woman Was very aggressive and then the attitude that she gave when I said that my daughter needed a break she ended up pulling a muscle or getting a cramp or something in her leg when she aggressively pushed past my daughter in the dressing room, took the dress off the hook angrily, and then was so embarrassed that she limped away, slammed the dresses onto the hook in the unwanted area, and then walked away and didnât say another word to us. Very unprofessional and annoying. It was our first store but she made it a miserable experience for my daughter. I wouldnât go back here if the...
Read moreIâm beyond disappointed with my recent experience at this store. I drove 3 hours with my two young daughters to find the perfect dresses for upcoming occasions (sweet fifteen of twins and 3 proms that they were invited to). After spending time looking for the right dresses, we were suddenly told to leave all because the manager called Linda, was going on break. There was no explanation or apology; we were simply kicked out. We werenât disruptive, my daughters were just trying on dresses, and we were ready to make a purchase.
The way we were treated was not only rude but completely unprofessional. I traveled such a long distance hoping to have a pleasant shopping experience, and instead, we were humiliated for no reason.
To top it off, I found out the store is closing soon, which, frankly, doesnât surprise me given the lack of respect for customers. When a business is closing, that's no excuse to treat people this way especially when theyâve driven hours to shop with you. Itâs clear that customer service is not a priority here, and I wouldnât recommend anyone waste their time or money at a place that shows such blatant disregard for their customers.
If you want to be treated with respect, there are plenty of other stores that value your business. Unfortunately, this isnât...
