I definitely recommend coming to the Deli for a quick lunch or if you want to try authentic Vietnamese food. This is a great place to go if you need to get groceries and a bite to eat at the same time.
My family and I ordered egg rolls, cream cheese wontons, Banh Bao, one large pho, one extra large pho, and one sesame chicken lunch special at the Deli. This entire order was about $42 and it was worth it! The portions are large, the sesame chicken was tender, the service was very friendly- the owner and waiter checked up on us several times to see if everything was okay-, and the food was relatively fresh.
Although I loved the food, I only have one complaint. The tables are somewhat narrow and it can be hard for a group larger than three to eat considering that a third of the table is covered by utensils, sauces, etc.
The other thing I would also like to note is that this Deli does not accept American Express and they do not use peanut oil/peanut related products (to my knowledge).
The photos below are as follows from left to right: cream-cheese wontons, eggrolls, extra large pho, and Sesame Chicken...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is my favorite out of the 8 or so Asian markets I've visited in the Twin Cities.
I'm in Bloomington, where we have like 3 smaller asian markets, but drive out here regularly for better selection (like for frozen stuff - dumplings: amazing selection! - especially). I've found things here I didn't even find @ raved-about places like United Noodle (like basic fresh herbs most Asians want to cook with; I think it was mint.).
1 staff member was so helpful with finding things via photos I pulled up, even though he didn't speak English.
They've got a FABULOUS produce section & love LOVE the attached restaurant. Grilled pork Banh Mi are fabulous & my friends loved the papaya salad. Most of all I super appreciated their allergy awareness (menu even said tell your server if you have one) since I have a severe peanut allergy.
They carry unique things like pandan kaya & local honey I've not found @ other local markets.
Their store is one of the easier ones to navigate because it's so much bigger / layout is nicer than most places are able to make happen.
Fantastic dishes/ china...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreExcellent asian grocery store, great restaurant, very limited parking lot spaces.
The parking lot is shared with several other businesses. The parking is definitely far too cramped. Expect to park far.
The store is amazingly well organized. If you have been to other asian grocery stores, you know what to find, and you can find it here. Lots of asian ingredients, spices, sauces, and so much more. The produce was fresh as we bought a few!
The meat and seafood section looked fresh and well organized. But very limited on certain cuts and meats. But if you're looking for a specific cut of meat, they have some in stock. Most of the products and items are on display and very easy to read what it is and the cost of the items.
The restaurant is great. Weren't expecting to dine in. Service was top-notch, 11/10! Our waiter was great as they were also attending several other tables. We ordered and got our food quite quickly, and the food quality was great! Amazing Vietnamese dishes that will satisfy your cravings. Would...
