About their very inadequate appointment and follow up policies,..well,..at this point I am left to assume that they really have none. Two weeks ago I walked in as their website proclaims "walk-ins welcome" and was trying to get a much needed haircut. Actually, at least a week, if not 10 days prior to my first visit there I tried to make an online appointment with Gabbie on her Vagarro,.I believe it is called, website as per the instructions and request,....but without any response from her after more than a week. Then, on Wednesday the 22nd I just drove up there to request the haircut request on her booking site that she never responded to. I was told by the proprietor/owner of this shop that Gabbie was actually on her way in and that she would have her call me. I gave her my cell number and told her fine, I would go down the street and grab a bite while awaiting her call,....... which never came. After about an hour and 15 minutes I called,..then texted Britnee Gore who is the proprietor/owner of this salon about the fact that Gabbie had neither called or texted me leaving me hanging in limbo and asked whether or not she could fit me in that same afternoon. About an hour to an hour and a half later I finally received an obligatory text message from her stating that she couldn't work me in with an explanation that she was " out of practice cutting men's hair! " Come on, " out of practice "cutting men's hair!??? Forgive me, but I think that cutting women's hair is a lot more tedious and requires a lot more skill than cutting the typical average man's hair could ever be! To make a long story short, I wound up getting my haircut at GREAT CLIPS at about 8:00 p.m. that same day for exactly one half what I would have had to pay at CURL UP & DYE! I arrived early but the shop was closed until 10 am which was fine as my appointment start promptly at that time. I entered the salon and was not greeted until several minutes later. While waiting I heard what sounded like my stylist had overbooked appointments and I was expected to leave and she might know something in an hour or so. For a first time impression this was completely unprofessional and I will NEVER recommend this salon or return back. I understand I am only one person and the stylist probably does not care she lost my business. However my first impression and experience will be shared with anyone I know when asked if i know a good salon or not. Unfortunately I will be sharing my negative experience.
In response to Britnee's reply to my review. My opinion would of changed had your hairstylist actually called me back in the hour or so to let me know if she was going to be able to see me at all that day. To tell a new client you will call them and not to just shows me the lack of customer service your business has for new customers. I put all my plans on hold waiting for her call only to be left with more disappointment.
