I am very disappointed I have to leave this review. As a retired fire/medic, I try and support any businesses that support public safety or stores that my brothers and sisters open up. I have seen this place a few times when coming in town for trades day. So, today I decided to stop in and check it out. I was greeted with a hello when I walked in the door but that is where customer service stopped. I like the fire theme throughout and the tee shirts. Now that I'm retired, I'm a little fluffier, so they didn't carry anything bigger than a 2xl which ran kind of small. I decided to buy a mug as I often do to support the shop. The mug was on the rack for $12 and then there were 2 red double wall metal cups for $25 for the 20oz and $35 for the 30oz. When I got to the counter I gave my order which was a iced vanilla chai tea. While waiting, I tried to strike up a conversation about how the place came to be. I was wasn't answered so I asked again. I was not really acknowledged and just given a two second answer. I saw another sign for apparel and again asked about the place and the apparel because I would like to support. I mentioned I retired with 20 years service and always like to stop and support shops like this one. Another person finally stepped up and again, just said it was a roast shop they opened a coffee shop and again felt disregarded. In the mean time, the coffee cup was scanned and was register price said $16. Not a big deal but I said oh, well the sign back there said $12. I was given a "Well, it rang up as $16 so that is what we have to charge." I walked back just to make sure I was not wrong and there was a clear sign stating $12. I came back and said it says $12 but was told again it rang up as $16 and they were not going honor the posted price. I said fine and still purchased the mug. In all the chai tea was really good. I probably would have got some coffee to take home but after the customer service, I couldn't support any further. I worked my whole career with my customer service being just as important as my professional service. It's a shame because I really wanted to like and support this place. Hopefully they get it figured out because the...
Read moreOkay the first few times we went it was excellent. Tasted so good we said hey maybe we will stop here every time weâre in town. So we have been doing that. Then today comes we get the same coffee again but go figure our ice coffees taste literally like just regular coffee. We could have made this at home with Folgers or something. There is not a single bit of sweetness to this coffee. Canât taste any salt? Doesnât look like we got the foam we ordered? By contrast the time we even tasted the drinks we were already home in grand saline. Which is 20 minute drive. Iâm drinking mine just because I donât wanna waste money. But my aunt straight up poured hers out. Yâall should stay consistent with taste. It should taste the same every time. Iâm guessing the person who made our coffee is different from the other times and makes their coffee just taste like straight coffee⌠we ordered a drink that is suppose to be a little sweet and salty. Not just pure coffee. Very disappointed from todayâs experience. When you pay over 10$ for 2 drinks you expect it to taste good. Shoot I donât even think they put oat milk in mine when I asked for it. Very bad...
Read moreA great experience for a first timer, some of the best ground coffee Iâve had in a long while. I ordered one of their speciality drinks â Pappaâs Pie â and it was delicious. I really enjoyed the fact the espresso was still the main focus in the beverage but you get hints of the flavor they put into the drink, like it should be. Sometimes you go to a coffee shop and feels like the drink has been soiled with sugar, but not here! Even got some of their grounds to take home⌠a great shop with a great mission and great products! Will be stopping in next time I visit trade days. Very polite and friendly staff, assisted with any questions we had regarding the menu for our first time stopping by, and eager to share information regarding their mission, products and menus. Well done, thatâs how you do...
