Float Beach — Attraction in Cape Canaveral

We are used to beaches in maryland. This beach is deserted compared to what we are used to and we LOVE it. I don't feel like I'm up on someone else's space trying to find a spot to set up at the beach. We have plenty of space, even on the weekend. The water is warm (end of November) and the sand is soft. Awesome stretch of sand, accessible by most of Cape Canaveral's E-W president streets (although there is no Van Buren St or Ave, not sure what Martin did to piss off the original Cape Canaveral city planners), which all have beach access AND free parking. Because it is between Cheri Down Beach Park to the N and the Cocoa Beach Pier to the S, there are no amenities, but other than a few locals, you will have the place...

Beautiful day, beautiful beach, out of the way from all the chaos and masses of people. Public parking is limited but free. Not too far from the highway, so getting to and from where you need to go is a breeze. It's one of the northern most portions of Cocoa Beach.
