Thank you so much Charles for keeping Beach Pawn f.k.a East Coast Music alive all these years- "Where a Fast Nickel, Beats a Slow Dime!". I was saddened to see the old storefront shuttered and happy to see you have just relocated. East Coast Music Beach Pawn was an institution for local musicians back in the day and many now famous artists walked through thier doors. I have a million stories and memories of this place that are precious to me and my friends. Bantering with Jerry, Lee, Jason, Josh, and Steve was always fun and even as little kids, they treated us with respect. A favorite pastime of ours was "testing" all the guitars and amps. Later in life, I would regularly buy vinyl from Charles. Charles was always extremely nice and friendly- knowing me by name and following up on the happenings of my life. If you have something to pawn or sell, he is always fair- remember that he has a business to run and can't pay the prices you see online. I have always gotten better deals on loans/selling compared to all the other local Pawn Shops. If Charles knows you well, he will be very patient and understanding. I really wanted to get a nice skim board that would support my weight and height and the owner of this shop was very responsive and helpful in finding me the right one before I made the drive out to purchase it. They also told me about a local surf shop that could supply me with the grip tape I needed for the board. They were extremely friendly and supportive of other local businesses. I would recommend coming here if you are on vacation to check out the other boards and items in the shop. The owner posted a 3 wheel bike on Letgo. The price was ok. I went by his shop to check it out. We went back & forth about the worth of the bike. I quickly let him know, I wasn't there to discuss the worth of the bike. I had accepted the price we agreed to. After that he turned out to be VERY NICE and HONEST. I wanted a bike for the beach.
