I'm sharing my story so that other people will not have the same experience. Michele, the owner, refuses to pay me for cleaning her laundromat from top to bottom for 6 hours. I was told I would be folding laundry and that the tips from customers were really good. I didn't fold one piece of laundry. She had me clean instead. I wiped down every single washer and dryer inside and out, emptied the lint from the dryers, wiped down all of the tables, swept the entire laundromat, mopped the entire laundromat, waited on customers, handed out quarters, and provided excellent customer service. When I got home from cleaning, my back was in extreme pain. I called her the very next morning and politely thanked her for the opportunity to work there but the physicality of the job is too much for my back. I've been in several car accidents and I have arthritis. I was not able to sit down during the 6 hour shift, as she does not provide chairs for her employees. I called her a week later to ask when I could pick up my pay and she texted me..."The first day is like orientation and because you didn't continue the job, I will NOT be paying you". She did not discuss this with me. I believe she should still pay me for the 6 hours of labor. Shame on you, Michele. You know what you are doing is wrong. I will pray for you and as I know from experience, Karma is...
Read moreI have been going to this laundromat for over 10 years. The girls that work there are as helpful as can be. I went in tonight I put my clothes in the wash all my detergent when it started barely any water went in. I watched for 10 minutes before all the clothes even got wet. I told the attendant. Which felt very bad for me. She went and got the owner the first thing she said was because I used hot water. I never use hot water. I showed her where the cold water light was lit up. I worked there years ago when my friends owned so I know how the washers work. She told me she was the owner now. I ask her if she would pay for another wash. She wasn’t doing that either. Which may have cost her $2.00. The maintenance man was there as I was taking my clothes out to go to another laundromat. I showed him the soap that was still dry in the door. He told me because it wasn’t getting any water. My son told her it was piss poor customer service!! Which it was. I work in the customer service industry and if you want to keep your customers you take care of them. I will never go back to that laundromat and give her one red cent. Maybe she doesn’t need my money and that’s fine too. The other laundromat next to cape canaveral meats has a new owner. It was clean it was much cheaper and they have...
Read moreUpdate: After the new owner responded to my original review I decided to give this place another go and I have no complaints. The staff is very friendly and it looks like there are more washers and new dryers.
I used to go to this laundromat all the time and never had a bad experience. The owner at the time was usually there and she was extremely friendly and kind. All of her employees were the same way. We had a laundry card where we would get a free wash for every 10 loads we did. We stopped going once we moved into a place that had on site laundry. Today was the first time I went back in there and the man working there was extremely rude. I asked him if I could get some quarters and he said "Let's see you put your clothes in first and see how much you really need, I cant just be giving out quarters to whoever comes in here." I was taken aback by the rudeness and snideness he exhumed. I told him it was no problem and immediately left and went to the other laundromat in the Cape. I will never again step foot in this laundromat due to the way this man talked to me. I'm not sure if this place is still owned by the same woman, but this certainly was not how she or her employees treated...
