They did a great job preparing two rings of mine. Very nice and very professional and affordable
Edit to above post. I had a real hard time making a decision to leave this review because everybody there is so nice but I had told a few of my friends when I was really happy because they both had had jewelry they needed to get repaired and agreed with me that what happened was crazy. When I got the two rings repaired one stone was missing from my emerald ring. At that time they told me it was going to be something like $1,500 to replace a tiny Marquee and we decided just put a cubic zirconia in there. I also asked them to make sure that all the prongs were on there tight and to fix them if they needed to be. I got the ring back and it looked decent but not as nice as it did with the emerald. After wearing it twice, to go to lunch once and then to dinner once and had the ring on the second time for no more than an hour or an hour and a half I looked down in the emerald next to the cubic zirconia they put in was gone. So another one lost that was a very expensive Stone and I've had this ring for 15 years and used to wear it all the time when I was working. I'm retired now so only we're once in a great while as I have many rings and only way that if I'm wearing green. I called and told them that I really felt it was their fault since it was supposed to be checked to make sure all the prongs were tight and they said they couldn't decide until I brought it in. When I brought it in they said they couldn't be responsible for it. Just very strange to me since again I work for 15 years and never had any problem and it should have been like new with the prongs and I didn't do anything the least bit rough to bang it or anything like that and the other one fell out. On top of that when I brought it back this time they told me I could get man-made emeralds that would be $30 each . Why on Earth this wasn't mentioned the first time as this looks exactly like my ring did before and much better and cheaper. The cubic was $100 along with the repair. Anyways, very disappointed that they didn't own up and fix the ring correctly for me as I know for a fact I didn't hit it on anything and it had to be the way the ring was fixed. You don't go 15 years and have no problems wearing it quite often and then all the sudden after it's repaired wearing it for tops for hours for the two times and losing a stone. I still haven't worn my tanzanite stone that they fixed as I haven't had an occasion too but hope that that...
Read moreI came here as a second visit, this time to get an estimate on selling a 14K wedding band with 14 Diamond. I was told this place was fair and honest with their prices. Come to my surprise I was offered $400! lol today gold has been higher than it’s been in a long time. Imagine when it was low they’d offer $50 lmao. What a joke!
Edit: Don’t guess, I’ll tell you 9.5g 14K solid gold 14 diamonds. I’ve worked with jewelry in the past. It’s nothing new to me, I’m well aware of what needs to be accounted for in an estimate. Gold may fluctuate but when it’s climbing in such a consistent manner that counts, yes you have a 30 day hold which you’ll easily make back tenfold reselling the ring especially at the prices you have all your jewelry at in store. I went to the pawnshop just to doublecheck if maybe just maybe I might be off. I wasn’t, a PAWNSHOP offered MORE on my ring than a “high end” jewelry store. It’s sad and the only disappointing thing about this was seeing how much advantage some stores take of people selling their jewelry thinking they can rip them off because they’re in need. Thankfully I’m not I just want a plain ring without diamonds since I keep banging the one I had. Hope that cleared somethings up for...
Read moreMy husband and I decided to elope and came here because they had reshaped a ring for me in the past and were just super kind and helpful. This time was no different. Every single person I've interacted with here has been a delight. Specifically Alison went above and beyond helping my husband and I choose our wedding rings. She was so patient and kind and had no problem helping me figure out what I like and don't like as I don't wear really any jewlery. We found the perfect rings and it's pretty much thanks to her. Not only that, but when we told her our crazy plan to elope at a concert literally 4 days from the time we bought the rings she made it a rush job and had them ready for the ceremony!! We had just given up on the idea we'd have the perfect rings for our day and she made sure that was not the case!! Amazing beautiful jewelery but so much better than that are the amazing people who work here! Thank you everyone at Zaks for your part in helping turn this crazy idea we had to elope, into the most beautiful day well get to remember and cherish...
