Our wolf range oven and digital screen stopped working, we immediately called Wolf warranty and explained the issues, they found us Mr. Appliance who had certified technicians who were certified to work on Wolf appliances. The next day a technician arrived at our home to diagnose the problem, he determined it was the control board and also said we needed to change the digital screen and a differential for one of the burners that put out a little extra fire. Before he left we were charged a service fee and given a quote to replace. We called Wolf which they covered the parts under warranty and would ship them to Mr. Appliance. This process total took two weeks, which left us without an oven fir two weeks. When the parts arrived same technician came out to fix the range. He replaced all parts and oven still wasn't working, so this is when he tested the voltage at the plug and realized it wasn't getting the 220 it should, my husband took the plug apart and saw that a wire was not connected, so this is when the frustration set in because the technician should of checked that the first time he was out, and nothing was wrong with our range, it was the plug the whole time. All that time wasted, my oven torn apart for NOTHING!!! Technician put the range back together, changed the differential which still didn't fix the burner either and tried to slap us with a $540 bill, like crazy right? I told him I wasn't paying that because he screwed up and this all could of been avoided had he done his job the first time. He proceeded to call his office and let them know the situation. Soon after they called my husband and lady apologized for the mistake, the technician did admit to fault, yet she was still trying to get her $540 bucks, in which my hubby said he'd meet her half way. She is lucky she called my husband and not me because I wouldn't of paid them a dime. I've been a business owner myself and robbing us if $270 bucks for absolutely nothing is not right. We have spoken to several other appliance repair companies and the first thing they do is test for voltage. I am so disappointed that businesses are content with themselves taking people's hard earned money when their business messed up. If they were a decent company they would return our money, but I know it won't happen. I understand mistakes happen, but I shouldn't have to pay for them. Please be careful and if you use Mr. Appliance make sure you ask them to test voltage first before they rob your money too. Will not refer...
Read moreThey are clearly deceiving people! My dishwasher broke down and was showing an I20 error. I called them and explained the situation. I mentioned that I had already checked the hoses and cleaned the filter, as this error is typically caused by a clogged filter. However, the error code persisted. They told me they could come and take a look if I paid $126, which would be deducted from the repair cost if they fixed the issue. I agreed, and they came.
However, they only noticed that I had mistakenly left the drain hose disconnected. They then demanded $247.50 + tax just to reconnect the hose! This was an outrageous and unfair charge. To avoid paying extra, I reconnected the hose myself and cleaned all the hoses again. The machine worked perfectly fine afterward. With this logic, they were asking for a total of $126 + $247.50 = $373.50 just to check and reconnect the hose. Meanwhile, the price of a brand-new dishwasher today is only around $450. This is absolutely ridiculous! A few days later, my fridge started leaking water. I called them again and reminded them about the $120 deposit I had already paid. I requested that they at least come and check the fridge. They informed me that the $120 was only for the one-minute visit they had previously made. I, too, am a business owner in the service industry, and we would never treat our customers this way. I absolutely do not recommend this...
Read moreWe needed someone to address a problem we were having with our refrigerator. Had called another company, who sent people out twice, but were pretty much useless.
We decided to try Mr. Appliance. We found them to be very prompt, professional and explained possible options to fix our refrigerator problems. Going forward they appeared to fix some problems but then created others. They did address the new problem and were able to fix that but were unsure if they'd be able to fix all problems without additional expenses.
The refrigerator is only 10 years old but that appears to be a good amount of time for nothing to have gone wrong prior. It was decided that it would be best to cut our loses and purchase a new refrigerator. The company was very cooperative and we worked out a price to have a good portion of our cost refunded to us since a solution to all problems could not be found without investing more money into it.
I would recommend this company for appliance repairs. They are reliable, honest and try to give the best advise they can for fixing whatever needs fixed. We would use them again...
