This review comes a bit late but well deserved. I couldnt figure out what to get for my fiance for his bday. I happen to be walking through town and spotted a class going on. I live less than a mile away and somehow didn't even know this shop was here! They have bleachers and big windows to watch artists create stunning pieces and classes going on open to the public anytime. Instantly I knew this experience was something he would enjoy. I was right! A little disappointed we didn't have more of a choice in projects. On his birthday, when I told him we were going to make paperweights, his expression was comical but our items came out beautifully unique and were fun to make. No prior skills needed! Haha. Look forward to when Covid isn't limiting the selection of items you get to create so we can come back! The instructor was great and took his time letting us enjoy the experience and ask a million questions as well as change our mind on the colors several times we wanted to add. Very happy with my purchase and the enjoyment my fiance experienced. Came back the day after to pick up our creations and have them on display in our home still today. Kids or adults can enjoy this too! Thank you for the memory and hope to make more...

I have to admit, I walked into this class with the confidence of a squirrel on roller skates—nervous and wildly unsure of what I was doing. But then I met Gary, the glass-blowing guru, whose calm demeanor and patient responses to my barrage of questions instantly eased my anxieties. It felt as if every worry I had was gently blown away like hot air from a furnace.
The class itself was a brisk 30 minutes. In that short time, thanks to Gary's encouraging words, I went from “What am I doing here?” to “Look, I made… something!” It might not have been a Picasso, but it certainly wasn’t a disaster either!
I highly recommend this class to anyone looking to add a spark of creativity to their lives.
So, in conclusion, if you're on the fence about trying out Barrio Glassworks, don’t be a cautious squirrel—jump in and let Gary guide you in crafting masterpieces! Who knows? You might just find yourself addicted to turning hot glass...
Read moreAmazing customer service. Gary and Mary are very informative. I recommend taking one of their classes.
We just took a class at Barrio Glassworks this past weekend and loved it! There were five of us and we made glass paperweights. We knew we would have a fun time, but it was even better than we thought! We also learned about working with glass and saw glass artists at work in the shop. Gary and Mary were friendly, knowledgeable and so patient. The whole process was organized and orderly, allowing participants to do as much of the glasswork as safely possible. Gary was very encouraging and helpful throughout the class, so we were able to get creative with our projects.
The gallery area is full of beautiful glasswork and it's amazing to walk through. Our group bought some art before we left.
We returned two days later to pick up our projects and they all turned out extremely well!
Thank you, Gary and Mary, for a...
