Great for everyone! If you enjoy a picnic, this is a great place, the grass is perfect for sitting down and walking barefoot.
The beach entrance is a few feet away and Starbucks at about a block away. The Audubon society is nearby and open now for bird watching.
Also, the St Michaels church is is across the street. it's an old church that is open and the staff is ready to share its story.

Read moreGreat park. It is an almost beach front park with a public restroom, but the landscaping is well cared for and the tables and gazebo are nice and clean. There was a Toastmasters meeting in session when I stopped for lunch and perhaps one transient person wandering by, but overall this is what I love about Carlsbad. It is beautiful! We parked here and used the stairs for a long walk in the sand and a quick swim in the ocean before heading back to the park for a quick change in the restroom and a light lunch on the tables near the gazebo. Read moreI stumbled upon this park accidentally, and I'm so glad I did! This park is so cute, beautiful, and well kept. The landscapers were there on a Friday afternoon, working on the rose garden. The grass is green and trimmed, there are beautiful old trees and flowers, event halls, and pretty clean restrooms. The entire park is wheelchair accessible with wheelchair accessible bathrooms.
