I was sitting on the Patio of Pure Project enjoying a flight of beers with some friends when all of the sudden I hear none other than the verbose feel good music of Frank Sinatra approaching. I look over and see a delivery driver screech to a stop. The man was obviously in his element as he was singing the song word-for-word and thoroughly enjoying his own performance. He steps out of the car and walks around to the back door. He pulls out two insulated pizza delivery bags. Each move he made was rhythmically choreographed to the song as if he had practiced hundreds if not thousands of times before. He walked toward the side walk as the song came to a long and drawn out end (horns blaring, cymbals crashing). The jaw of each and every man, woman, dog and child at the Carlsbad Village dropped to admire what I can only describe as the most elegant example of human perfection any of us had ever seen. The blissful joy of the recipient was a sight to behold. We all cheered and celebrated this delivery drivers magnificence and the last thing we laid eyes on as he drove off into the sunset along PCH was his white Johnny Bravo socks.
I've never tried Knockout Pizza, but being present for this moment in history was enough for me to etch the story into the tablet of time, so that others could know the tale of the most incredible delivery driver...
Read more12/23/22 It's still great pizza. Now they have figured out their local bussinesses discount ‐------------ This is an update to my original review 10/19/22 The pizza is still good, but it's has become a hit and miss with employees and some of their attitudes. We always got a local discount for working at the village, that's why I come here sometimes 3x per week. Today the lady helping me out told me, only the manager is giving discounts now, but there is no problem I just should wait so she goes back and stays in the back another employee comes up to the register and asks me what's up and what I want, and I was a little confused since I thought he just came to type in the discount I have been getting for a year, but he came only to ask me and after I explained that I ordered and that work in the village to tell me yap we dont do this anymore. I just and felt denounced in front of other customers they way it was handled. I did not ask for a manager. I did not complain she told me the manager would do it just for him to come up and ask me what I wanted to tell me no. It's their right to get rid of a program, but how you go about it as a business is also important.
Today is confirmed again. Perfect crust and toppings. Super friend staff. Thx Jackson The best thin crust...
Read moreDisappointed with the Service and Experience I was really looking forward to trying this place for the first time, but unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The customer service was poor both employees, a man and a woman, made us wait a long time without any communication. The woman appeared to notice us but continued laughing and ignored us instead of simply saying, “Please wait a moment.”
When we finally received our order, the interaction felt rushed and rude. The pizza didn’t seem freshly made; it looked like it had been sitting out, which made the long wait even more confusing. Another issue was the cleanliness of the tables weren’t being cleaned after customers left. The staff seemed more focused on chatting and making pizzas than maintaining the dining area.
Additionally, I couldn’t help but feel that we were being treated differently. I truly hope that wasn’t the case, but the behavior felt dismissive in a way that made us uncomfortable.
I’m sharing this honestly in hopes that the service improves for future customers. Based on this visit, I wouldn’t...
