Taco Bell — Restaurant in Carlsbad

Service here is really bad. First off, if you go inside, be prepared to wait a long time for your order. 10-15 minutes wait easily, even if you order just 1 or 2 items. They focus on drive thru, don't consider you important if eat inside. I get it, a lot of places are short staffed and all that, but the fact they don't really even acknowledge your presence even if you're standing at the front counter. Went through the drive thru a few times, last time they didn't even include napkins in the bag. (Found out after I drove away and stopped to eat.) The same guy didn't ask if I wanted hot sauce, I had to ask myself. These are just basics of fast food service and they don't do these very simple things. Went inside to eat another time, the employee there informs me they're out of nacho fries for the nachos fries box, offers me a cinnamon twists as a substitute. I say that's fine and ask if we can get the nacho cheese since it comes with the nachos fries but he says "I can't do that for you since you're not getting nachos fries." (SOOOO IT'S NOT THE CUSTOMER'S FAULT THAT YOU'RE OUT OF AN ITEM, IT'S THE RESTAURANT'S FAULT YOU DIDN'T ORDER/PREPARE ENOUGH. AND IT'S ADVERTISED ALL OVER YOUR FRIGGIN MENU BOARD. AND YOU REFUSE TO INCLUDE A SIMPLE ITEM (THAT ONLY COSTS 50 CENTS) THAT IS ALREADY IN THE VALUE MEAL THAT I PAID FOR?!?!) That part didn't even seem the worst of it. The same guy (didn't get his name, they don't wear name badges-- Hispanic male in his 20s) who refused this places the order on the counter (and didn't give out my drink--which is included in the value meal--without me asking for it). The bag falls over, he doesn't say sorry, the cinnamon twists fall out onto the counter and I stand there thinking he's going to apologize or something and replace them with cinnamon twists that haven't touched the counter and get this-- the guy PICKS UP THE CINNAMON TWISTS THAT FELL ON THE COUNTER WITH HIS DIRTY GLOVES AND SHOVES THEM BACK INTO MY BAG! Can I give Zero stars?! I've been calling all day to speak with a manager and the phone just rings a bunch and no one answers. I came here last night and was so offended with how I was treated. I ordered a bunch of food for my family and I. I asked the guy to make everything double toasted, and a girl got on the mic and said if I wanted my Sprite double toasted. I figured she was joking around so I went along with it and said yes. And then an asian girl that works there( im sorry I dont know her name but I recognized her voice because she helped me before) got on the mic to confirm that I wanted everything double toasted including my Sprite, I laughed and said yes to everything. At the end, she asked if I'm aware that people in America are full of diabetes and obesity and confirmed again if I wanted everything double toasted. I awkwardly laughed because I was in shock at the comment and I drove off. I was offended, I cant believe someone would say that. You dont know me and you took that way too far. I've felt self conscious all day and barely ate due to that comment she made to me. It's one thing to joke around about toasting my drink but that comment was not nessasary. People make these types of comments to overweight people and make them feel bad about themselves. I honestly will never go to this tacobell again. Ive been coming here for years with my family and never felt so offended like I did last night. I hope she learns how to treat others with humbleness and respect. This location has messed up my order more than any other. I used to go to taco bell at least once a week by my house. However when i’m working I will sometimes go here. I have ordered from here id guess 6 times. Atleast 3 times something has been wrong with my order. Last time I ordered a cravings box with a Crunchwrap, bean burrito, potatoes, and a drink. In my box was everything besides the burrito. And instead they gave me a side of chips and nacho cheese. How do you even mess that up there’s no scenario where a cravings box has 2 sides in it. The time before that I put in my in my mobile order as in store pickup. I got a cravings box and they typically in the drive through they take max 5 minutes to cook my order. I ended up waiting over 15 minutes and could not finish my food before having to go back to work. No one asked me what order I was waiting for or anything. I eventually told someone but the wait was still longer than any taco bell experience i’ve had. There was not a long drive through line either. Other than that all my orders have been correct but the quality is noticeably worse than other nearby locations. When I had the nacho pass the fries at this location where never ever crispy not a single time. It’s a bummer because the staff here are always very nice and polite.
