THIS PLACE #1 customer service I have ever experienced. I have not only expressed this to about 100 people since my visit yesterday, I am going to write a letter in to Corporate and let them know about their staff at the Bloomingdale court location. My kid's (6 & 9) dad moved to Florida and for Christmas sent them a Nintendo Switch and a $25 gift card each to use toward whatever they wanted at Gamestop, he then gave them a $50g.c for their bdays in January. We have an 8mo old puppy who managed to get ahold of one of the gift cards chewing it enough to destroy the mag strip and eat away the last 2 sets of numbers. All we had were the first 8. I thought it was useless and expected to be told it was our fault and I would suck it up and put in what they needed to buy their firs game Super Smash Bros brand new $60. NOPE I WAS SO WRONG!! Ronny called over the manager (I'm sorry sir I didnt get your name), and he had Ronny call customer service while I texted my ex and his wife asking for the powerpoints phone number or whoever's last name and zip code they put it under. No such luck looking up the account, BUT Ronny worked some awesome skill and after looking up the first g.c. number he had customer service do a search for all other cards purchased with the same debit card. They had found one that had all the same first 8 numbers and gave him the final sets. He entered it and the pin and BAM my daughter was able to buy the game her and her brother wanted. RONNY, you my dear are a fantastic employee and above that a good human. See my son was home very sick with the stomach flu. My ex doesn't provide me child support and I am a single mom. You made my day. I am a small business owner (a salon suite called Monroe Hair Studio about 3mi away in Bartlett) I'm not trying to plug, I would like to offer you and the manager free haircuts for your help. I wish I had the means to give monetarily, or buy lunch to show my sincere gratitude. I will not be shopping for my kids future games or accessories anywhere else. I honestly hope you are recognized for your kindness and hard work. With your customer service skills, you have just earned your company so much word of mouth free advertising from myself and all the clients I tell as well as my ex and his wife as they were happy the money was not lost. Shameful and absolutely disgraceful communication to customers. I suggest holding a team meeting to make sure youāre all on the same page and not providing misinformation to customers because I donāt like to be played with.
Iām on a time crunch and I canāt afford to have you guys give me the wrong information after I called to get the information I asked for originally.
The fact that I cannot be provided with a number or ANY CONTACT to anybody within the company is very suspect And not appreciated whatsoever. This shows 0 accountability throughout the company and an even worse representation of GameStop.
Took extremely, extremely, extremely clear pictures of my products so if there is any retaliation based on my review of the absolute 0 communication between employees itās going to be very very very very noticeable, blatant and intentional.
If your employees donāt want to do their jobs and donāt enjoy working at the store, QUIT and find a better job so somebody else who may actually want to be there can be employed and do the job correctly.

Because the Manager Christopher treated my friends and I to the single worst customer service experience I have ever had. I called in to ask about a few games, he was rude and short on the phone. When we went in he kept doing pressure sales to get my friend to sign up for the membership. We asked 4 times for him to please just ring up the games. He ignored the request and kept talking about the membership and arguing. Then after we finished the transaction he became insulting to my friend. I have since submitted both a survey with a complaint and called in requesting to speak to the DM. 3 days later and the DM still hasnt called me. But the Manager Christopher called to apologize. However his apology was more of a "I'm sorry you just werent understanding what I was saying, let me explain it again" and basically suggested that it was our fault he was rude.
