Can’t believe I haven’t reviewed the farmers market after all these years. It’s a wonderful Saturday market. Definitely has a cozy small town feel to it. The vegetable selections are wonderful. always way more than what I’m looking for. The bakery & sweets vendors products are delicious. There are flower vendors as well as some plants. From honey & nuts to meats/seafood & cheeses. There is a bit of a parking lot, but many times we park down the street and walk to it. They have coffee/tea vendor which is great to get my 1st cup of the day. FYI no dogs allowed on Market Days.

A great variety of cut flowers and bouquets this time of year (Aug). A few thoughts collected over the years: -The farmers and artisans are the best. i’ve had so many helpful and interesting conversations. -The produce…also the absolute best. -There’s a metal worker you can find here sometimes that makes the coolest stuff. I have a mosquito sculpture of his in my front yard. (There’s a video clip attached - def worth the look.) -The crowd here can be a little lacking in contextual three-dimensional awareness.

We go there for the donuts. They are fresh and delicious! The farmers market is on the small side but very cute. There's usually music playing that makes it even a welcoming environment. There's a playground on the other side for children to play. You can find a coffee truck, hot dog stand and a couple other food stands. Finding a parking spot can be a challenge but there are usually spots on the street around the area.

i absolutely love this farmers market, i come here every saturday morning!! great selection and friendly people, there's usually live music too :) gets very busy once it hits 10am though, and parking gets more difficult. as other reviewers have said, turnover is relatively quick for the lots right by the market but there are more municipal lots a few minutes walk away that are sometimes quicker to park in.

also, about the no-dogs policy, there are actually 7 (that i've counted) very visible signs in the market saying "no dogs during market hours"! three hung from the ceiling under both of the covered areas (which can be seen in the photos people have added in other reviews), and another at eye level right next to the main entrance with the "Home of the Carrboro Farmers' Market" sign. additionally, on the front page of their website below the "hours" link is another note about no dogs during the market. please remember to check what the policies are before you bring your...

Even on a rainy day devoted farmers’ market shoppers brave the weather to visit one of the Triangle’s popular farmers' markets. The Carrboro Farmers’ Market occupies the town commons each Saturday morning (and Wednesday afternoons during summer), supplying local produce, cheeses, meats, prepared foods, plants and craft items from more than 80 vendors, all located within fifty miles of Carrboro. Part of the market’s shopping area is open air, where shoppers browse vendor tents that line the crushed stone path. Vendors in other parts of the market set up tables under two pavilion shelters, separated by a center gazebo where one can find cooking demonstrations frequently. Go hungry to this market and enjoy a sweet baked treat from Sari Sari Sweets (I recommend the apple fritters) or go savory and get something from The Pig’s food cart, serving local, pasture-raised pork to...
