Grisham Stadium — Attraction in Carrollton

Very fine high school football stadium, especially for the home team. Had to park about half a mile from Grisham Stadium because of the huge crowd. The visitors grandstand was concrete with no individual seats or bench seats. Another complaint was the trough urinal in one of the men’s bathrooms that was terribly bad smelling. I haven’t seen that type of urinal in over 50 years. The school had a very large video scoreboard that was easy to view and read. People were gracious in helping visitors to this facility. By the way, the stadium is comparable to the size of some small college football fields. Overall a very good experience except for the outcome of the game. This is a large, modern stadium with lots of seating - both aluminum bleachers and plastic chairs with backs. Depending on the event you might have access to both. This Stadium hosts lots of events other than just sporting events for the high school itself. Concessions are usually available at events and include standard fare such as soft drinks, hamburgers, chicken sandwiches, chips, and candy. Score board during state track meet was not in sync with official race time, and was not coordinated with awards ceremony or anything on track. There were 4 large portable storage containers obstructing views of track on last curve and back straight away. Loud speaker were difficult to understand. You would think for a state championship a better job for the spectators...
