This is a vendor feedback of bad experience doing business with Painted Tree. As a customer, I love this shop however as a vendor, it has been an awful experience for my small business which is local & based in Apex, NC. I was so excited to get started as a vendor back in February. My paperwork was done and I was allocated a space, however I got overbooked twice. I was given a space first which was apparently booked & occupied. Then, they allocated another space, and I was sick so I was late by two weeks to go there and setup my shop. They had regularly charged my credit card for the rental space where I also paid the deposit back in February. After getting the second space, I had notified the team that I am delayed due to medical emergency. Now when I was ready & went there to setup, I find that another vendor has occupied my space for which I am paying the rental. I worked with their sales team to get this resolved who initially promised me a better option in same price and eventually offered me a space double the price. I couldn't agree for the price as that's not what I had signed up for. It has been a waste of time & stressful experience where I purchased some clothing racks to setup my space. I lost money on those purchases as well. They finally refunded my my money this week after persistent follow-up. Hard to believe that they help small businesses who are local. Read moreI have been excited to see what was going into this space. Drove past today and saw the doors were open and there was a welcome sign outside. Went in and got chased out by who I am really hoping is the person that is paying the rent/bills for the space. She was terribly rude, unwelcoming and insinuated that I was stupid for not understanding the welcome sign and the “open tomorrow 10-3” sign tapped to the door. “Tomorrow” is extremely vague (may I add that I just came from Starbucks who also had a paper sign on their door that read “sorry we missed you” yet they were 10000% open). Read moreBuyer beware! My daughter bought Christmas gifts from here and my other daughter wanted to return her gift and they have a strict 48 hour policy. The policy is prominently displayed and that is what they kept pointing to when we tried to return within 5 days of Christmas. While I understand that it is prominently displayed the thought that a retailer that relies heavily on Holiday sales would not have an extended return policy at this time of year is ludicrous and really bad customer service.
