This was our favorite store.. until yesterday. We have been to Grande Shops dozens of times and spent well into the four figures here as we remodeled our historic home over the last two years. Sadly, now we will never go back due to the sickening lack of professionalism.
We walk in yesterday just to have some guy that we have never seen there before (we were just there last week also) immediately tell me I would have to leave my purse with him. This man was in front of the counter (not behind it like an employee) and I had no idea whether or not he worked there. What sketched me out the most was that he did not make the same request of the lady who walked in ahead of us or , later, the one behind us. Just me and my Louis Vuitton bag. When I told him I was not comfortable with that, he said we had to or couldn't go in.
My husband told him no and this guy just starts arguing with my husband. Did not bother doing anything professional, just arguing. If they were worried about theft, he had multiple more professional routes he could have taken. He did not. If he would have said something like "hey we have had a lot of theft recently so if you take your bag through, we will just need to look in it real quick on your way out." That would have beena perfectly reasonable request. Alternately, they could buy some lockers and offer those for women to lock their bags in.
Instead, this man just wanted me to hand my purse to him for him to watch for a couple of hours while I went through the store. Wallet, cards, accessories, car keys, emergency medications, everything. Even if I would had taken all of that stuff out and carried all of those items with me, I would have had two hands full of multiple items I couldn't carry and he still would have had an expensive purse. For all of the people that have emergency medications (think inhalers, seizures, epi pens, or any other situation where seconds count) I hope you don't have an episode while in this store because someone is going to have to run to the front of this gigantic store for you and retrieve your meds from your purse. Now, I would have no problem locking my purse in a locker and carrying just my medication with me around the store. But I am not ok with leaving the purse up front where anyone can get it while I spend the entire shopping trip trying to keep a hold of two phones, meds, wallet, car keys,.etc. all with no pockets. Lots of women's clothing doesn't have pockets. That is why we have purses.
When we told this guy that we have been here dozens of times and nobody has ever asked us to do this, he just looked at us and bluntly said "it's under new ownership" like that was an excuse for his behavior. So we just left. Unfortunately, we will never be back. Ladies, if you're headed to this shop, make sure you take your cheapest bags and only put in them what you can carry comfortably for a couple of hours. Trust me, it's not worth engaging with the "new owner" (if he even...

My wife and I sold goods through Grande Shops, but unfortunately had a disappointing experience. One of our items was stolen from the store. While we understood the risks involved in retail, the way the situation was handled is what ultimately led us to pull our products.
Rather than offering any concern or support, the owner downplayed the theft and casually compared it to something that could happen at Walmart. That comparison completely missed the markâWalmart invests heavily in protecting assets with loss prevention teams, detectors, security cameras, and trained staff. Grande Shops offered none of those protections.
What truly pushed us to leave was the way we were treated. We didnât feel valued as vendors or paying customers. After we had already entered into a contract, we learned that certain premium spaces in the store were reserved for the ownersâ own products. This meant we were paying rent to compete directly with the storeâs operatorsâsomething that wasnât disclosed upfront and didnât sit well with us.
When we gave notice to leave, we were given a lecture about our contract. Yet, when asked directly, the owner couldnât identify any violation on our partâbecause we had upheld our end completely.
Itâs disappointing to leave a 1-star review, but from a vendorâs perspective, theyâve earned it. Our decision to walk away was not solely because of the theft, but because of the lack of transparency, professionalism, and respect in how we...
Read moreNot a good first impression. Me and my mother decided to go shopping and explore Casa Grande and we came across Grande Shop (obviously, it just opened there was a lot of empty spaces ) but looked promising after having a great lunch next door. First was the was the purse experience my 70+ Year-old mother did not want to part with our handbags however after the Cashier Davis, our time and essentially said well you canât talk here if you donât look up your purse , we understood so we locked them up. Next, we didnât even get a quarter of the way through when I needed to use the restroom nope no restrooms available. They were locked up if you had to use the restroom you had to walk over to the Fryâs grocery store to use theirs. Then I happen to find an item that I was seriously interested in, walked all the way to the front of the store because there were no booth number markers so I had no idea what the vendor number was had the counterperson walk all the way back with me then she walked all the way back to the front brought back some keys that didnât work apparently they had no keys to open the casesâŚwell that ended our money spending idea I did find one small item for $10.50 so I went up to pay for it. I gave her a $20 bill then I was told Iâm so sorry I donât think I have enough change for a 20. This was not a well thought out business and unfortunately, I probably wonât be back anytime soonâŚ.Maybe when they get their...
