Rent-A-Center — Local services in Casa Grande

Rented a bed set and TV from RAC. Easy enough process initially. Decent customer service. Then I get a call today 06/04/2024 from a lady who claimed to be the Assistant Store Manager stating delivery would be made today. I accept delivery and then notice the remote they showcased the TV to us was not the one we were actually given. The remote that was showcased had voice control and other smart features. The remote we received was a highly used dirty stained remote that was not at all new. The TV we purchased was contracted as a new TV. The remote was used. I attempted to rectify the issue with the store via a phone call and the female Assistant Store Manager hung the phone up in my face because she stated she had other customers. She did not once say can I put you on hold or anything. She was upset because I was questioning them on their false advertising the remote. A small issue that could have easily been resolved but instead was blown up when she hung the phone up in my face. The people around me who heard her on speaker were shocked. The call was also recorded and I have the audio proof. I planned on being a very loyal customer as we’re furnishing a new house but I’ll take my business elsewhere.

Im extremely unhappy with this place right now. They are borderline harassing me. Back in feb we had some friends pay our account up and although it helped at lot at the time, it threw off my payments with them by a whole week, i did miss my payment last week, but we had bought a car and i told them id pay on my next check which is THIS week. They keep trying to pull from my card thats locked even though i dont get paid until this week. And ive spoken to 4 employees about this, stating they needed to change it in their system because if my card hadnt been locked they would have pulled money I needed for rent. Im super frustrated because they are now going outside of what was in my original contract with my bi weekly payments. They also keep attempting to charge different amounts? They have it scheduled trying to pull from my card opposite weeks of my paydays. I have talked to 4 employees about this at this point. I even took my card off of auto pay yet they still keep running it and my husbands. They stood outside my door for 10 minutes the other day pouding away while my husband and I were working and absolutely terrified my 3 year old and my sister in law who was watching her. She answered and told them we werent home and they sat outside for another 15 minutes. Absolutely ridiculous. She didnt know what to do and she was uncomfortable. I went in to look at some furniture when there was a chest freezer that was 7 cubic feet, I asked what was the price. I was stunned when they told me what the price was $850 for a 7 cubic feet chest freezer. I left the store did a couple errands stopped at home Depot for a few things, when I noticed in the appliance section they had the exact same freezer chest for $198. Man! I was so glad I did not buy it from Rent A Center, I purchased it from Home Depot. With rent a center price, I could have bought 4 of them at home Depot.
